Great steamer.
Very sturdy steamer and I wouldn’t be without it now.I use it along with my 18cm pot and it’s a perfect fit. There are two compartments plus a lid.So easy to use. Boil some water in pan and add your vegetables into the first compartment. You can use that along with lid but you may want to use both compartments depending on how much is being cooked. Also can be used with different timings ie hard vegetables first and then add another tier for softer vegetables. It does get very hot though and care should be taken when removing it from pot.

A must have! 😍
The media could not be loaded. Used a bamboo steamer for the first time and it was easy to use and easy to clean. I made bao buns and lined them with baking paper to protect the bamboo. The two tier basket was helpful in batch cooking and cooked the buns to perfection. The basket is sturdy but I am unsure how long it was last due to bamboo already detached in some corners. Worth the price paid for next day delivery to satisfy my craving for delicious bao buns filled with Korean style chicken 🤤

Decently made, could do with a bit more finishing as a few splinters, lightly sanded to remove
one of the cheapest at this size. Decently made, bamboo strips are held together with with very small dowels (toothpicks?) and thin slivers of bamboo 'lacing'. Bought primarily as a test for my 6 ltr pressure king pro and fits inside perfectly.Unfortunately the toothpicks aren't glued in at all and had to push a couple back in, washed and soaked for 30 seconds, which swelled up the wood and tightened them but i'll see how they fare and if they come loose again, I think a dab of titebond 3 glue or similar will help.Bought some cheap food safe silicon mesh (sold as chip trays) and cut circles out of the correct size to use as inserts. Made some lovely steamed jasmine rice. Overall impressed.

does the job
Before I used it for the first time, I had to cure the bamboo steamer. I washed it with water to get rid of the dust, then ran it through boiling water, and then rubbed some neutral oil on it when it was dry. Now, every time I use it, I rinse it and put it in the oven for a while at a low temperature to speed up the drying process. I tend to use it with waxed paper so that it doesn't get too dirty or sticky.

Wooden steamer
Item is exactly as described and works really well. Recommend using some parchment/baking paper and putting holes in to avoid items sticking. Easy to clean after every use but make sure to air dry it for 24 hours before putting it away

Not great quality for
On first use the bamboo strip around the side came off. Seems it can still be used but not impressed

Superb Kitchen essential
Absolutely love this thing! It's big enough with multiple layers that you can cook most of a meal in one session of steaming (I tend to use one layer for veggies and the other for fish). Fabulous for dumplings as well. Nice and easy to clean, just make sure you lay either baking paper or even lettuce leaves at the bottom of each section when cooking. Stops pesky bits of food getting stuck in the gaps. All you have to do then is rinse and dry!
