Delicious and nutritious
I've been taking a teaspoon a day to help heal a throat issue I've been battling. I can def tell the days I forget because I'm miserable in the evening. It has a bit of a medicinal taste but it's not bothersome, especially in tea or a smoothie. Highly recommend!

Super-high MGO Honey - but is the value really there?
As someone who really, really dislikes the taste of Stevia-esque and sugar alcohol-based sweeteners (like xylitol and erythritol) for the overpowering aftertastes or unappealing side effects, I've started relying more and more on honey to sweeten my morning coffees and evening teas. Consequently, our household has tried about 4-5 different bottles and brands of Manuka honey at this point. While I'm not entirely convinced of their actual ingestion-based benefits, I'm willing to err on the side of belief. This jar of MGO 700+ Manuka honey from Manuka Health marks two big firsts in our Manuka honey journey: the highest levels of MGO (methylglyoxal) and the highest price ($144 for 500g, at the time of review). That's a big jump. In both respects. But okay, I'll do my best Fox Mulder impression and want to bee-lieve.Taste and consistency-wise, the difference between this and other certified Manuka honeys is effectively non-existent. Meaning that if ALL you want is that earthier Manuka taste and incredibly thick texture (to the point where it doesn't move or flow in any meaningful way like clover-honey would), then this isn't a level of MGO you should shell out for.In the hopes of being able to notice some overtly beneficial aspect to the MGO we tried this with morning coffees and teas during a time when, due to the petri dish that is elementary school, our household was under siege from a combination of flus and head colds at the end of the school year.We were hoping to notice some stomach-calming bonus or runny nose-preventing element but we really can't say we saw the benefit.***Overall Value***It made our coffees and teas taste better. It made the saltines the kiddo chowed down on with an upset stomach taste better. But as for any beneficial properties outside that, we didn't see them. At least not at a level that makes me feel like $144 (at the time of review) is worthwhile? No.

DISAPPOINTED!!
I rarely write reviews and I’ve ordered this item a twice already. The first one was great. This last one I got was during the Spring Sale. When I got it out of the bag, the bottle was sticky. So i washed it under running water just to check if the bottle had any holes in it- there was none. Then when I opened the lid, it was not tightly sealed! Seems like it’s been opened already! Lift and peel cover was there but it was half opened already! Just cause it was on sale doesn’t mean you can send used/opened items! Tried returning it but it says it can’t be returned.

Great taste, great health benefits
I recently got to try some Manuka honey, and I have to say that it was a real treat. The texture was smooth and silky, and the taste was out of this world. As someone who likes honey, the buzz around Manuka honey and its many health benefits interested me.When I opened the jar I saw that the honey had a raw, golden color and was less thick than the clover honey I usually eat. Since the Manuka tree is in the Myrtle family, I thought there might be a hint of eucalyptus in the taste, but I was happily surprised. The taste had a hint of sharpness, which might be because it had more UMF/MGO but it went well with the sweetness of honey. The price of this jar of Manuka honey from Manuka Health was one thing I liked about it. This jar was almost half the price of other brands, including Manuka Health's own website, where it usually sells for around $200. It was a crazy deal, given that its UMF grade was 17+. At first, I wasn't sure because the price was around $3 per tablespoon which was a lot for my budget. But the way it tasted and the possible benefits made it worth the money.I found that honey mixed quickly into drinks, which made it an easy way to add sweetness. I also liked eating it straight with a spoon and enjoying the smooth texture as it melted on my tongue. It was a really luxurious time.I couldn't help but be impressed by the health benefits of Manuka honey, even though it tasted so good. I didn't have a cold at the time, but I had heard that it can help soothe sore throats. I've had dry, scratchy lips in the past when I had a cold so I'm excited to see how this honey works when I need it. I also found out that Manuka honey has been said to help people with acne, which my husband sometimes gets. He didn't like how sticky the honey was, so he didn't put it directly on his face, but we'll keep looking into its possible benefits.
