Adorable bulldozer playset
The media could not be loaded. This is such a cute little Playset which can double as a display item as well on the shelf.I like that the box forms part of the play and what makes it so cute is that it contains a little screwdriver to make it all too. It's advertised as an educational toy and it can certainly help with motor skills as you have to attach the wheels and the digger bit yourself with the provided screwdriver.I think building the toy will also give little ones a sense of pride and independence, and any little boy who likes trucks and cars will love this.A good interactive activity that will last, in terms of play but also as on the back of the box is a barcode so you can scan to see what else you can do!£25 seems abit much at first but I think the quality of this and the hours of fun this will provide makes it more than worth it.I'm currently searching to see if this comes in any other sets to purchase!Really happy and I know my son will adore this too.

Fun and learning in one
During a typically peaceful Saturday morning, a package arrived that would become the highlight of my nephew's week. An eyebrow-raising price tag hung over it, but my decision to splurge on his fascination for building things was the driving force behind the purchase.Inside the package was a colourful and sturdy bulldozer toy, complete with a playful array of components – bolts, a screwdriver, a construction worker, an animal companion, and safety cones. Even the packaging added to the excitement, an inside-out box became a playful backdrop for his new construction site. The sight of the toy bulldozer brought my nephew's face to life. Intrigue radiated from his eyes as he picked up the screwdriver and began piecing together his new toy. As an observer, it was apparent this was more than a plaything. It was a tool for his development. There was a charm in how he manipulated the screwdriver, a testament to his growing fine motor skills and hand strength. He laughed and engaged with the toy on multiple levels, manoeuvring the moveable bucket scoop, using the Bolt Buddy to twist bolts. It was education interwoven with pure, unadulterated fun.Despite the numerous play sessions, the toy remained intact – proof of its solid construction. The price is certainly a talking point and for some, it might be a stretch. Yet witnessing the priceless joy in my nephew's eyes, paired with the stealthy educational benefits, it seems to earn its keep.

Really great for kids!
The media could not be loaded. This is a pretty good toy for children of a young age, it comes with about 5 drill parts on the actual truck, some for the wheels and then one for the crane part. It also comes with a screwdriver and spare screws. The screwdriver is quite cool, easy to use, has the buttons like a real screwdriver to switch the direction of screwing so you can screw it on or off. There's also a little wrecking ball that's connected to a rope which goes up and down depending on which way you are screwing it. I think for the price it is currently at (£45) I expected a few more parts which can be screwed on or off or perhaps part of the truck could've been detachable or something. But my nephew really enjoyed playing with it, he was super excited when he saw it and loves playing with it but just bare in mind that after screwing 5 or 6 screws on and off, it can get a bit boring.

A STEM toy for children aged 3+...
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) toys are available for pre-school children - like this Design & Drill Bolt Buddies Bulldozer from Learning Resources. Very young children seem to be fascinated by bulldozers and similar vehicles. They're big, they're yellow - and they look quite different from other vehicles they might spot around them. This is a well made, robust take apart toy. It comes with a child-safe screwdriver as well as a range of accessories including Bolt Buddy the construction worker - who of course fits in the bulldozer - and his doggy friend. Both can also be used as tools to twist open the bulldozer's 9 bolts. There are 2 orange traffic cones too - which I guess has the ring of authenticity for anyone out and about on our roads. The bulldozer has a bucket at the front which enhances play as it can be filled with sand or other bits and pieces. Easy to use, the screwdriver can be used to take apart and reassemble the bulldozer. Don't throw away the box! Inside out, it makes a backdrop for the playset - a nice touch. As with all the best early learning toys, this take apart bulldozer set encorages children aged 3+ to develop fine motor skills and creativity/imagination whilst at play. It perfectly proves the point that learning can be fun and, attractively boxed, would make a perfect gift for curious toddlers.

Plenty of learning here!
I really like this set as it's truly interactive - a child has to think about this and follow the clear instructions, then, at the end, there's a reward of a truly fun toy. My only reservation is that I think a 3 year old without adult supervision might find it rather challenging but maybe it's a good thing to stretch a young mind a bit further. The quality of the parts including the drill etc. is very good but at the same time it feels safe. There are some nice touches for example, within the drill you can see the gears through a window - that really will get the cogs turning in a young mind! Also, the set is bright and cheerful thanks to the colour of the parts and decals. Overall, a package that's hard to fault and I think it's reasonable value too, especially as it has good credentials in terms of design and manufacturer.

Hands on Building Toy
We love Educational Insights toys! I had purchased a larger "Design & Drill Set" for my daughter in the past so I was familiar with the concept of this toy. You take it apart and put it together over and over again. It's a great development toy. I missed that this one had a screwdriver instead of a drill. It is still great fun for your toddler. It also helps them develop their fine motor skills. I definitely recommend this toy and brand.

Amazing STEM toy!
Bought for my just-turned-4 year old for Christmas and she LOVES it! After showing her once or twice she can independently use the drill to take the screws/tires off and on.The drill is a soft “wirring” sound- which is great when your little has sound sensitivities.Tip: put the AA battery in the drill before wrapping - if its a gift :)

So much comes in it!
Lots of things to drill. Lots of side accessories. Even the box is part of the toy. Cute and good value. Crane and wrecking ball options for the toddler who wants both.

Cool Toy but Some Major Design Issues!
This toy definitely had the potential to be a great kids toy but design issues started to reveal themselves the more our toddler played with it. Our toddler enjoyed putting this crane truck together himself and enjoyed how the screws and accessories could be used in a variety of ways. This allowed for creative play. Our toddler enjoyed using the hand drill to screw the tires on and off the truck but this also prevents the tires from spinning properly so he got frustrated when he couldn't push and drive the truck as smoothly as his other toy vehicles. Overall the plastic body of the truck seems strong however its edges are not as rounded as popular brand name toys like Fisher Price. The string used to attach the hook and wrecking ball is basically just kitchen twine. The string has unravelled numerous times since our toddler likes to drag the truck around by the wrecking ball to knock down his block towers. Fortunately, there are screws that allow access to the internal workings and we were able to replace the twine as needed. Our toddler likes the attachments that can be placed on the hook but some are made of plastic and others are made of cardboard. The cardboard loops that attach to the hook needed to be taped up after only a few uses. After about 6 months of use the peg that joins the base of the truck to the swivelling crane box and arm snapped off. We attempted to fix it with super glue but it did not hold. Now the truck is in two pieces and essentially unusable. See attached images. Not only is this a pricey product it did not stand up to regular toddler use. It's unfortunate because our toddler really loved it until it fell apart.
