I have a mini pond right off my back porch and as one can imagine attracts alot of flies, and not just the picnic flies but flies I didn't even knew existed. I looked and tried pretty much everything out there and they would work for acouple of hours but flies would get worse. I bought this trap on a wish and a whim and I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING OTHER THAN THIS PRODUCT. I set this 20 feet out from my pond and back porch and ever since I've never had a fly problem. I can see the flies running straight for this trap go inside and get stuck. It's amazing.No more wired fans and lights that promise the world.However, changing the trap to a new one it's alittle messy and stinky, however SO WELL worth it!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I hate that I NEEDED these stink traps but there is a cow farm in my area so flies are a problem. Especially in the heat of summer. Plus, I have a horse so that is another fly attractant. I purchased 2 of the bottles and these stink traps and they really do work! Easy to use and the bottles have a wide mouth which makes emptying and refilling easy. I keep them on hand now to help with fly populations and this summer hasn't been as bad as last so I believe these have helped. These are cheaper than others for sale and work just as well. I'd recommend them.

I wish I could bring this stink closer to the door but pee-yoo! This thing really catches flies! "Replace every 3 months or when full". That's like 3 weeks. Aaaahhh rural life. I hope I leave some flies for the birds and bats!

We live next to a farm with many animals. The flys were terrible when we would try to set out on our deck.We bought the fly trap containers and a supply of refills. This works WONDERFULLY.

These things are smelly but the flies love it! Put them several feet away so you don’t get a whiff of them. Keeps the flies away from you.

Draws all the flies to the container and keeps them away. Very handy and easy to use packets . I use with the Terro brand reusable jars and it the best combination I’ve found to keep flies away.

I have built up a large collection of the Rescue refillable traps. Those and the included packets work great. I bought these to try as refills since they were on the cheaper side. They do work but in my opinion are not near as good as the bait that comes with the rescue trap. The rescue trap with their bait will fill up in a matter of days for us. We have about 80 head of goats on our 20 acres and have cattle of 3 sides plus numerous chicken houses nearby so we have tons of flies. These baits are much less smelly - which may be a good thing if you put them near your house - but in my case I scatter them around livestock loafing areas and barns and will put them on the outer edge of the yard on the northern side (we get southern winds in warmer months). Overall not a terrible value as they do work to some degree. I just wouldnt recommend them if you really want to eliminate the max amount of flies possible. At worst I'd recommend getting a better trap for early in the season to cut fly numbers down and then transition to something less potent like these to maintain low levels without the smell.
