quiet and powerful
Great pump, after installing cheaper pumps which I had to replace three time I decided to buy a better pump, only twice the price of cheap ones but If I had bought it first time would have saved me

We have a jacuzzi bath and this pump enhances the water pressure, filling the bath quicker.

Rubbish item
This is a piece of c***, it worked for one day, about two showers and packed in, fuse and supply to the board ok so it's internal, not even going to bother with the warranty after the horror stories on here. Bought a Stewart turner monsoon as a replacement and that's working great..

Not been in long but works well so far, noise a bit more than expected
Even though a bit expensive works just as intend. Found with a few taps, the time delay of the pump kicking in can result in you getting covered so takes a bit of getting use to.

Beware this isn't the pump shown in the picture!!!
I can't comment about this pump from a useable point of view. I wanted to post a review to make prospective buyers aware of the fact that the pump you receive will not be the one shown in the picture. The CT55 Xtra is a single ended pump (single water supply), the one shown in the product description pictures is a twin ended pump (hot & cold water supply) which is what I needed. I'd suggest visiting the salamander pumps website for the correct product for you 1st. Hope this helps people not making the same mistake as me?

good little shower pump for the money and not too loud
awesome deal on this from amazon warehouse. Pump works as it should and feels well made, however check your connections are all the way home as we did have a little bit of splatter from time to time and couldnt really tell where it was coming from, I disconnected everything and reseated the pipes and seems to be fine now. I used a couple of layers of carpet underlay underneath the pump and has massively reduced the noise from it. Wouldnt say its silent, but from a room or two away it is.

Good pump poor customer service
Ok the pump is great but the 2yr warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.The form you have to fill in to get this is a joke if you use long pipes..or place it near something or if you use the wrong water they will not honour the 2yr service but the pump it’s self is good..also the customer service is appalling I waited 47mins to try and register what a waste of time that was
