Sennheiser EW-DP ME2 SET (Q1-6) Portable Digital UHF Wireless Microphone System with ME2 Omnidirectional Lavalier - Black (700010)

We've been having issues with a recently bought system suffering endless sound quality issues when used in the workshop area, but also some issues outside - turns out it operates on the same frequency as WiFi - 2.4ghz! This system doesn't suffer the same issues at all - operating on UHF. This has been a massive step up in quality - both in terms of build quality and sound quality, but also in user experience, as this is very simple to operate, and leaves so much less work to do in post too! The quality of the lavalier is very good. It's sensitive, so it's worth experimenting with placement before starting to record your piece. There is an IOS app we are using that makes it simple to sync (via Bluetooth) and there is hardly any latency at all. This App also has some nice control functions included - mute/unmute, gain, and output can be adjusted without having to keep going to the person mic'd up - again, excellent functionality! We have it mounted to our Canon via the shoe, and then the RX simply snaps to it via magnet mount - super easy to fit and remove as needed. The battery that's included will give you around 7 hours time - but you can use 2x AA batteries to get you out of a jam if the battery runs out - very useful to know! I should note, there is a power input of course, but if you plug this in while recording, it will pick up interference - or so we found anyway. The RX display shows gain control and also shows the available battery time remaining, so you can see clearly how long you have. I almost forgot - range! We've used this for around 4 weeks now, both indoors and outdoors. Indoors we've found no issues anywhere in our building, even through the 1 or 2 walls/doors it has still remained reliable and clear. Outdoors we have had zero issues in normal use, but did test the limits and we found the signal start to drop after around 22 meters or so. For us, this wasn't an issue, but something to bare in mind of course. It is a fair chunk of money for sure, but considering how much faster this was to get working, and working really well, and the less time the audio will take in post, and of course the incredible audio quality now available for our videos, I have no reservations about recommending this, 100%! An exceptional piece of equipment.

When I saw this Sennheiser wireless handheld microphone I knew I HAD to order it for my son , whose band is starting to make videos with their releases as they progress they want to update their outdated equipment . This arrived in its own branded box . Included inside were :- EW-DP EK receiver EW-D SKM-S handheld transmitter MMD 835 dynamic cardioid microphone module mounting kit including plate, cold shoe, belt clip and screws BA 70 battery pack and 2x AA batteries locking 3.5mm TRS plug to 3.5mm TRS plug cable locking 3.5mm TRS plug to XLR plug cable USB-C charging cable . Downloading the app the EW-D Smart Assist provides automated setup , operation, and monitoring using any iOS or Android device via Bluetooth which was a bonus because this is such new kit my son hadn't tried anything as expensive or technical before , he said after his initial read of the operating instructions he found it easier to set it up with his amplifier in the studio ( it's also compatible with Personal Computers and Karaoke Machines ) . His view is this is the best microphone he's used ( and after 8 years he's been through a lot !). He says there's hardly any feedback when turning if in which will be welcomed when setting up for gigs . It's so well made it fills him with a multitude if possibilities how far he can push his music career . This set would be perfect for anyone in the music business from DJs to comperes . A solid piece of magical tech that's well priced .

Good system, but fails to warn you that in the UK you need an ofcom license to operate at this frequency of this mic system. Be aware of this!

This Sennheiser lav kit has honestly been a total game-changer for my video setup. The fact that it powers on and off with my camera automatically is one of those simple features that makes such a huge difference – no more worrying about forgetting to turn things off and draining batteries. What really stands out is how much cleaner the digital signal is compared to the older G3 and G4 models. The frequency finder is way more refined, and you get that signature Sennheiser audio quality without all the headaches. Sure, the transmitter doesn't have its own little display, but honestly, who cares? You can control everything from the receiver anyway – gain, frequency, all that stuff. And if you want to get fancy, there's even a phone app that lets you tweak settings remotely. The price point is actually better than those older models too, which was a nice surprise. But the real winner for me has been the frequency management. I do a lot of press conferences where there are tons of wireless systems all fighting for airspace, and since switching to these digital units, I haven't had a single clash. It just works. Build quality feels solid too – nice metal construction with this magnetic plate that snaps onto my camera setup really securely. I've got four of these units now and they've been rock solid across all kinds of environments and distances. Sometimes the simple upgrade that actually delivers is the best kind of upgrade. These units are ready to use right out of the box and they include a rechargeable battery system that holds up for many hours while still giving you the versatility of using AA batteries when needed. Overall a GREAT piece of kit for any video or audio professional.

Erhalten habe ich ein tragbares digitales UHF-Drahtlosmikrofonsystem mit ME4-Ansteckmikrofon von Sennheiser. Im Lieferumfang befindet sich: # 1x digitaler portabler Ein-Kanal-Empfänger EW-DP EK # 1x digitaler Bodypack-Sender EW-D SK # 1x Ansteckmikrofon ME 4 # 1x Montageset # 1x Li-Ionen-Akku # 2x AA-Batterien # 1x Kabel 3,5-mm-Klinke (TRS) auf 3,5-mm-Klinke (TRS) # 1x Kabel 3,5-mm-Klinke (TRS) auf XLR # 1x USB-C-Ladekabel # 1x ganz tolle bildliche Anleitung – das versteht wirklich jeder. Sehr gut gemacht! Mir gefällt gut das die Empfänger gestapelt werden können. Durch die Magnetplatte ist das gar kein Problem. Diese passt sich genau an und hält bombenfest. Für die Magnetplatte findet man noch einiges an Montagematerial um wirklich jede Möglichkeit, den Empfänger zu befestigen usw., anbieten zu können. Die Beschreibung, welche sich ebenfalls im Lieferumfang befindet, erklärt wirklich alles. Z.B. was welches Licht (ob Dauerlicht oder blinkendes Licht) anzeigt / bedeutet. Sender und Empfänger kommunizieren so schnell das man kaum etwas mitbekommt und das Verbinden einfach und schnell von statten geht. Sollte es dennoch mal nicht gleich funktionieren, hat man auf beiden Geräten ein „Sync“ Knopf. Beide gedrückt, koppeln sie sich. Eine Anleitung um das Mikrofon mit einer Halterung auszustatten ist ebenfalls in der Beschreibung angegeben. Das Mikrofon hat noch ein Windschutz im Lieferumfang. Dieser lässt sich einfach überziehen. Klemmt man das Mikrofon z.B. an ein Hemd, sollte der Abstand zwischen Mund und Hemd nicht größer als 25 cm sein um keine Tonqualität einzubüßen. Beide Geräte können sowohl mit Akku als auch mit Batterie betrieben werden. Jeweils 1 Akku und 2 Batterien sind im Lieferumfang. Vor der Nutzung des Akkus sollte man diesen erst einmal vollständig aufladen. Mit diesen beiden Stromquellen kann man bei Lieferung das Set nutzen. Schade das nur 1 Akku im Lieferumfang ist und nicht 2. In der heutigen Zeit, wo alles und jeder auf die Umwelt achtet, wären Akkus (egal ob in Batterie oder Akkuform) einfach besser. Ich persönlich möchte lieber einen Akku, daher werde ich in naher Zukunft noch 1 bzw. 3 Akkus nachkaufen. Auch wenn der Akkulaufzeit beim Sender bis zu 12 Stunden beträgt und die Akkulaufzeit beim Empfänger bis zu 7 Stunden, sind sie doch immer leer, wenn man sie am dringendsten braucht. Daher besorge ich mir noch einen Ersatz das ich wirklich immer vorbereitet bin. Toll finde ich auch, dass man die Restlaufzeit angezeigt bekommt. So gibt es keine Überraschungen. Sollte man auch Batterien nutzen, benötigt man 2x AA Batterien pro Gerät. Die Apps, um das Set noch besser nutzen zu können heißen: EW-D Smart Assist und Sennheiser Dokumentation App. Beides wurde aber noch nicht heruntergeladen. Für den Preis hätte ich mir gerne noch eine Aufbewahrungstasche (Hartschale) gewünscht so das ich das tolle Set ohne Probleme transportieren kann und immer alles zur Hand habe. Wir sind mehr als zufrieden und können nur noch sagen das man hier wirklich erkennt das es sich um Markenqualität handelt. Ich habe kaum bessere Qualität gefunden aber, um ehrlich zu sein auch erwartet, dass Sennheiser mich vom Hocker reißt. Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht! Perfekt! Daher auch noch einmal von uns – eine Kaufempfehlung !

The receiver doesn’t work. It will only turn on if it’s plugged into USBC. I tried multiple AA batteries and the lithium ion battery pack. None of them work. Was supposed to shoot with it today real bummer. In addition The Kit is missing the cold shoe adapter as well as the screws and the microphone we received was the incorrect Lavalier. This led to a ton of wasted time on set Jerry rigging it to my gimbal. Adorama tried to get out of this part saying that the cold shoe adapter wasn’t included in this kit, which is patently false. The kit absolutely does come with the adapter and even has a picture of it listed on the outside packaging with the box. ALSO In the box, we received the ME4 Lavalier and we were promised the ME2 Lavalier, which is much better suited to my needs than the ME4. I bought this item at a discount and I was hoping to resolve this by receiving the correct Lavalier and a functioning receiver, as well as the cold shoe adapter and screws, but instead Adorama opted to issue me a refund and said that I could re-order the unit at full price. This is really poor Customer Service in my opinion. I had always thought that Adorama was a professional company that would do the most basic quality control on their items for their clients. The fact that items were missing and or swapped out their parts and I received a completely non-functioning unit is totally out of lines with my expectations. Extremely disappointed.

Das EW-DP ME4 Set von Sennheiser kam gut in einem nett gestalteten Karton bei mir an. Beim Auspacken erkennt man direkt, dass sich darum bemüht wurde vollständig auf Kunststoff zu verzichten. Lediglich die Batterien waren noch in Plastik verpackt. Für einen Preis von knapp 800 Euro bekommt man hier ein wirklich qualitatives und durchdachtes Produkt mit allem, was man benötigt, um es direkt einzusetzen. Im Lieferumfang befindet sich ein Empfänger, ein Sender, das Mikrofon mit Kugel Charakteristik, ein Geräte-Akku sowie diverse Kabel und Zubehör zum Befestigen des Senders und Empfängers in verschiedenen Situationen. Vor dem Einsatz muss zunächst der Akku der Empfangsstation geladen werden. Auf dem kleinen Bildschirm wird dabei der aktuelle Ladestand angezeigt. Statt dem Akku kann man aber natürlich auch einfach AA Batterien verwenden. Im Empfänger jedoch ist ein Akku natürlich bequemer und nachhaltiger. Etwas schade ist jedoch das nur ein Akku im Lieferumfang enthalten ist. Da man gut zwei gebrauchen könnte einen für den Sender und einen für den Empfänger. Der Empfänger kann durch ein Magnetsystem sehr gut und fest mit der mitgelieferten Trägerplatte verbunden werden, welche sich mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben auf diverse Arten montieren lässt. Über das Display kann man wie zuvor erwähnt den Akkustand aber auch die Signalstärken sehen. Zudem verfügt der Empfänger über einen Anschluss, um mit einem Kopfhörer die Übertragung überwachen zu können. Die Audioqualität ist wie für den Preis zu erwarten sehr gut und auch über längere Strecken funktioniert die Übertragung ohne Probleme. Die Übertragung zwischen Sender und Empfänger findet ohne merkbare Verzögerungen statt. Der Sender lässt sich durch den unter der Abdeckung befindlichen Schalter ein, aber auch ausschalten. So kann man diesen nicht versehentlich ausschalten. Auf der Oberseite findet man den Muteschalter und daneben den Mikrofonanschluss, welcher zusätzlich verschraubt werden kann, sodass das Mikrofon, sich nicht einfach lösen kann. Alles in allem bin ich mit dem digitalen UHF-Drahtlosmikrofonsystem sehr zufrieden und habe abgesehen von ggf. dem etwas hohen Preis bezogen auf nur einen Akku im Lieferumfang nichts daran auszusetzen. Insgesamt bekommt das Set von mir daher 4,5 von 5 Sterne.
