Excellent Germination – Healthy Starts for a Beautiful Pond Display
I ordered this 10-pack of mixed bowl lotus seeds and was really impressed—9 out of 10 germinated, which is much better than I expected! After about 2 days, the seeds started sprouting, and by week four, each plant has 2–3 healthy leaves.I started them in a clear bowl on a west-facing windowsill, changing the water daily, and they thrived in that setup. Once they had leaves, I transplanted them to a larger outdoor bowl with water plant soil and placed it on my patio. They're continuing to grow well, and I’m really excited to see them flower in the coming weeks. The seeds were clearly viable and healthy, and they’ve been low-maintenance so far with consistent water changes and sunlight.Tip: Be patient the first few days, and don’t skip changing the water—it really helps prevent rot.

OMG, what a dud!
Do NOT waste your money. Once you buy the seeds, you will find out that you will also need to buy special soil and special fertilizer. I followed the instructions religiously and ended up with a foul-smelling brown mess that I didn't know whether to flush down the toilet or throw in the trash. After sprouting (7 out of 10), they turned brown and died a few days later. I was considering returning the whole thing, but could not find a good way to handle the logistics. Somebody is making money on fools like me.

Happy with it. They are growing well.
Many people who rated this with one or two stars are just doing it wrong. Do the research, then do it right! All ten seeds sprouted within 3 days, but one separated from the seed husk. I placed it back in, but I don't think it will make it. The other nine did just fine and are now planted and growing healthy and strong. I am happy with that. Honestly, I would have been happy with 6/10, so nine is great. They have broken through the soil surface and are just reaching the surface of the water today. I can't wait to see how they do. EDIT: It's 2 weeks later and the leaves started opening. These pics are just a few days apart. By tomorrow, there will be 5 more leaves open. Overall, very happy with the purchase!

Flowers not likely
Wish the ads were truthful. Realistically you won’t get a flower for at least 2 years. Seeds produced lots of lotus pads, but zero buds. We’ll see if get any next season.

Not for beginners
Difficult to grow, but they seemed like good seeds. Ordered twice. Second batch went further but not as simple as suggested. Could be ME

Low success rate and unpleasant experience
I was really looking forward to growing these seeds, but the results were disappointing. Despite changing the water every other day as recommended, after about a month the water developed a strong, foul odor, like rotten water.Out of the 10 seeds I received, only 5 sprouted — the others rotted and never developed. I expected a higher germination rate and a more pleasant growing process. Overall, not worth it for me.

Not bad for a brown thumb
I'm pleasantly surprised. Five stars from me is rare, just saying. Every seed but one sprouted and they're growing like crazy. Think this is around 4 weeks. I just had to separate into more pots so the water is murky. Can't wait for the blooms. Hope they're micro lotus or I'm going to need bigger pots.

Different type of plant.
It’s seems so,so. Some grew some didn’t. Not great directions. May put some in my pond. Says it takes over a year to flower. It’s ok but not to impressed with it. Shall see.
