I bought this as a Christmas present. Although some reviews aren't great, it actually does work perfectly if you follow instructions. Leave it in the freezer for a good few hours, use something like pure orange juice ect, fill it half way and just keep constantly squeezing, and you'll end up with a Slushy and a happy child.

This cup will work but you HAVE to freeze it for much much longer than you think. We did it a few times on 12 hours in the freezer and got cold juice with some small icy bits. I know it's hard to get kids to wait but once my son saw what happened when he left it for this long he was so excited! Tips - use cold juice/drink from the fridge and freeze it for 24 hours at least.

Left this in the freezer for three days to make sure it was cold enough, popped a squash in there, squeezed the cup as instructed and nothing happened. The drink is now just a cold squash, not icy or slushie like at all. Failed present for our son's 6th birthday unfortunately. Very disappointed!
