This is a solid, quality made product. It is the perfect fit for my 10-in wrought iron frying pan. The handle is a large and smoothly finished piece of wood that's a good grip for your hands and stays cool to the touch. The press is an evenly distributed heavy weight that keeps your bacon, sausage or whatever you're pressing flat in the pan. It has nice deep channels on the bottom which helps the grease flow around the pan. This is important to keep your food being pressed from drying out. I applied a heavy coat of oil when it first arrived and it was good to go with no sticking. It's easy to wipe off and keep clean. I've used several different types of bacon presses and this is definitely a quality product. I highly recommend it.

I’m a bit picky when it comes to my cast iron and don’t really trust the cheap stuff coming from China. This, however, was made in Taiwan and so far hasn’t disappointed. Fits perfectly in my 10.25” Lodge skillet. Heavy enough to lay the bacon flat. Used it to make smash burgers last night. Does not come preseasoned, so give it a good wash with soap and water, immediately dry and oil it. Wooden handle comes off easily enough with either a cross tip or flathead screwdriver. Don’t know what that’s coated in though, that’s my only real issue.

Wish I had this years ago never had better crispy bacon. Best thing you can just put it on your Induction cook top to heat up in seconds and crisp both side on the bacon at once. Enjoy
