I recently stumbled upon the Darkbeam beauty and let me tell ya.. whoa!. This little guy is made of super durable aero grade aluminum alloy and has a tough as nails HA III military grade hard-anodized finish. It's also IPX4 waterproof, because let's be real, accidents happen. And if you're as clumsy as I am, you'll appreciate the detachable clip that comes with it.But enough about its rugged good looks, let's talk about its superhero-like powers. This flashlight emits a beam of 365nm UV light that is practically invisible to the naked eye, but illuminates biological materials, such as human hair and teeth, as well as some types of fungi and bacteria.( also various types of stains, including those from bodily fluids and certain types of food and drink ) With this bad boy in your arsenal, you'll be able to bust out those detective skills and uncover hidden stains, and even track down those mischievous pets that keep peeing on the carpet (gross, I know).The Darkbeam is a handy tool to have around on your camping or hotel trips. Great little UV light. Illuminates well in dim/dark locations. I wanted one that was a small size and that used regular batteries, and 365nm and this ticks all boxes. It's solidly built and feels like it should be rugged enough, if treated normally. It's fairly bright, especially reflected off of brightly illuminated surfaces, so avoid looking directly at the beam, and wear some UV protective eyewear if using to illuminate items up close or for long periods of time. Otherwise it works nicely.Recommended.

That light showed up lint, and all sorts of great things. Funny thing about this light though if you are used to fluorescent lamps don't be fooled by fact that it doesn't look bright, instead look at how bright what it shines on is. When I compared this to my fluorescent 4" 5W lamp it was much brighter illumination of fluorescent green rope. Probably best not to look into this light as it really is powerful yet your eye won't think so as there is no white light in it.Pros: Available in black and Gold. I picked gold as easier to find. SUPER BRIGHT for black light Rechargeable. Red and Green light on button switch while charging. Button switch is fast. Can focus beam although I found I really didn't need to. Focused beam feature would come in handy if you were starting to loose battery and needed to use light a few more times. Yes almost forgot you can easily see urine and detect counterfeit bill even in direct sunlight as the hidden strip will show up. Plus very compact and easy to use. Oh also there was a promotion where I got $1.30 off on the price. Where it came from I don't know; maybe there was a lightning deal at the time.Cons: Battery is not going to last forever... Have to remember to charge battery every two months if not in use. Another device to charge.Bottom line... bought to check cleanliness of our business bathrooms and it works great for that purpose. the usb charging is convenient for our usage instead of batteries. not sure why bad reviews because it shows the exact spots that need attention, works as expected and hoped for, just crossing fingers it lasts.

This review is for a DARKBEAM UV 365nm Light Wood's lamp Blacklight Ultraviolet Flashlight.I purchased this to help test if sunscreen is UV blocking and it did a wonderful job of helping me eliminate sunscreen in my home that is not UV blocking or has expired. It's also handy for helping find pet stains that need to be cleaned up. It works on wood, tile, carpet, cloth and skin. The UV light is incredibly strong but make sure to do this in a dark room and do not shine it in your eyes! The torch is the perfect size to carry around without being bulky, has a really well enforced clip with strong screws to keep it in place and the button to activate it is easy to push. The torch is heavy but because it's made from heavy duty metal, but not burdensome. The design of the light is perfect and it fits in my hand easily while being able to push the button easily. I'd recommend this to anyone! My photos show the UV light in use as well as the overall design of it.
