This was a purchase for my son, who likes to compose his own music. This was an addition to his equipment for his mixcraft pro studio 7. He says it works great and is a quality product!

Worked right away without needing any extra steps. Pay attention to other's instructions... the "in" of the cable goes to the "out" of the keyboard, and the "out" of the cable goes to the "in" of the keyboard. Worked like a charm!

It works fine on my main keyboard but didn't work on another MIDI keyboard I tried it on (it's possible that other keyboard was defective though; I'm not sure). The main thing I don't like about it is that it has a red light that blinks whenever you're playing your instrument...it's kind of distracting. I got this as a secondary cable; I like the one I currently have (E-Mu brand) better...it still blinks to let you know when notes are coming in, but its light is on the cable itself, easily placed out of view, rather than on the plastic end itself that connects to the USB port.

worked without issue for me. no drivers or anything just plugged it in, changed midi settings in ableton and it works. Only minor gripe is that the usb is kind of fat, and the cable feels thin, don't know how long it will last

My TNP Midi to USB cable works fine once I got it plugged in correctly. My midi keyboard has clearly marked in and out and the cable is clearly marked in and out. The problem was that the cable was referring to the computer and the keyboard was referring to the keyboard. I found a video on line that told me this. So, as soon as I plugged the in to the out and the out to the in it works great.

I'm a studio owner, & have an old Casio Privia that I love as far as the feel of the weighted keys; but of course, it isn't USB, but just MIDI only; well now,,,,, it's USB!!! :)

Connected to my MacBook! Everything is great!

Just doesn’t work. Recorded either none or incorrect midi notes. Bought another midi interface which worked fine.

Works perfect, literal plug and play. (Into a Mojave Mac mini into Luna). Turned my digital piano from 1990 into a full weighted midi keyboard to compose with. Gotta love technology standards. Not too thick so it doesn’t pull on the ports. I plugged it into a 10 foot usb extension and works fine through it

This cable was purchased for my son and he was very happy with the product. It arrived on time and was as described.

I plugged it into my Windows 10 laptop. The little, blue, power light came on, the laptop set-up any required drivers, and it was ready to go. The power, MIDI-IN and MIDI-OUT LEDs are visible through the translucent, black, body, so may not be easy to distinguish under bright lighting.The bodies of the MIDI 5-pin, 180 degree, DIN plugs, have "IN" and "OUT" as part of their plastic moulding, and both have an outwards facing arrow; it would have been better to have an inwards facing arrow on the IN plug. I added Tipp-ex white arrows to make it easier to distinguish IN and OUT.

My Yamaha PB-88 is a cheaper keyboard and has no USB MIDI output to connect to my MacBook Pro. So a few years back I bought an M-Audio 2x2 which required software drivers. But like many typical music hardware manufacturers, they have no incentive to keep updating those drivers beyond a few years, so that box is now useless.I bought the TNP MIDI-to-USB cable with its promise that its built-in driver would do the trick, and as promised, it worked right out of the box. Excellent product works as advertised and at a reasonable price.
