The best monitor on the market at the moment
Owned the Dell 5k 27" before (UP2715K). This one also requires two DP cables to handle 8K/60Hz bandwidth.I have Radeon RX580 graphics card (with two DP ports) and it worked straight away with new monitor, no fiddling required. The picture quality is simply awesome, obviously this is not a gaming device but for other tasks there's nothing that can compare to this thing. Yes it is expensive but it's money well spent.

Too much glare, noisy in vertical position
As good as the resolution can be, the screen is an absolute mirror and reflexion makes it unsuable. Stay away except if you use it in the dark...

Scren burns in too easily
This is a good display that seems to be designed for video rather than as a monitor. The 8K is crisp and the colour is very good. I'm using this along with a HP z31x monitor on windows 10, driven by an AMD Radeon WX 9100.The monitor is glossy, that is to be expected given the extremely high dpi. A Matte finish would reduce the apparent image sharpness. So this is expected. My big gripe is that the screen burns in very easiy. So it makes a poor computer monitor, where windows will be left open (without moving) for long periods. 20 minutes is sufficient is see a residual ghost image when you move to another desktop. My 4K HP monitor has no problem with ghosting when used for hours on end. This is disappointing for the price.
