I would buy this speaker 100x over! Amazing sound and Volume for the price

I waited a year to review this product to ensure it still worked and that the sound quality remained consistent. It has definitely met all of my expectations! I listen to a lot of audio books. When I take a shower and get ready for the day or if I'm cleaning, I turn on my Libby (library) app and listen for 2-6 hours at a time most days of the week. It took a few speakers to find the perfect one because some have too much bass (they're clearly designed only for music) and those make it hard to clearly hear all of the words. Others seem to have one tone or the volume isn't quite right. This speaker sounds great with music! And it's perfect for my audio books! In fact, it's so clear that if there's a male narrator my dogs frantically look for the man "talking" in the bathroom because they hear him but can't see him! 😂

When I bought this Bluetooth speaker, I was not expecting it to sound as good as it does. I really only use it to play Deep Brown Noise while sleeping. My JBL Flip Essential 2 that had the passive radiators on each side died on me so I was wanting a speaker that had those passive radiators because they really do help with the lower frequencies. This is a very good sounding speaker. Does it sound as good as my JBL did, certainly not, and I was not expecting it to. But it DOES sound way better than its price point implies. I can't really tell what the charging speed is because there is no charge level indicator on the speaker (would have been nice but not a deal breaker and the reason for only 4 stars). I'm getting around 18 hours of play time out of it at around 60% volume. Not too shabby. It's a little heavier and bigger than the JBL Flip product line but not overly so. If the unit only lasts me a year I will have gotten my money's worth out of it because I do use it 56 hours a week. So at this price point, IF I have to replace it every year, it will take 4 years to equal the price of a JBL Flip and my JBL only lasted 2 years under heavey use. Pairs easily, quickly and reliably. I haven't run it under a water faucet or anything to test the waterproofness of it, I'll just take their word for it. :) I would recommend this speaker.

Love the speaker, I use it in the bathroom so I can listen to music in the shower. Battery lasts so long (for what I use it for) that I forget what the low batter sound is. Sound is good quality and I like the changing colors.

Excellent sound

This is a good speaker overall. It's large and sturdy feeling. The bass is a bit overwhelming but you get used to it quickly and it's probably better to have more bass than less in a portable speaker. I mainly listen to talk shows (news) and podcasts so it's not a big deal to me either way. I frequently take this speaker in the shower with me where it gets splashed with water. So far, so good; no problems with that. The battery life also appears to be very good. I've only started using this since Christmas 2022 although it was purchased in July of 2022. My main complaint is that the controls on the side are black like the rest of the speaker. There is no differentiation other than the controls are slightly raised so you can feel them, however, they are impossible to see except unless you hold the speaker up closely in good light. This is a problem if you're in a situation where you just want to quickly reduce the sound level -- it's very hard to find the area to press to reduce the sound level. More often than not I wind up changing the color or wind up turning off the speaker altogether which then requires resetting the device it is streaming from. Which may not be immediately handy (as when I'm in the shower). Pain in the neck. Why they felt it necessary to separate the 'up volume' from the 'down volume' with the two other controls (on/off and "M" for changing the color display) is also beyond me. Just makes it that much harder to 'feel' and find. I have taken some "white out" and marked the up and down volume controls. I suspect this is something I'll have to keep doing as with pressing, the white-out will likely peel off. We'll see, but it's the only thing I can of doing to try to eliminate this problem. So, my rating is neither wonderful nor awful. The sound is fine. The quality is very good. But this button situation reduces its value for me.
