I sanded the first couple of coasters for laser engraving. But they are smooth enough that sanding isn't necessary. They came out great. None of the rubber feet have come off. None were broken in shipping.

Great for engraving and soaks condensation very well

I really like these, and they are nice, but one of them looks like a crack has already formed and I have only had them a few weeks. We will see how they hold up.

If you consider these are made of slate, a very soft rock, the things that others find negative are to be expected in my opinion. Sure, slate chips if you knock on them. It will break easy if dropped on a hard enough surfer. For the price, however, these are good/pretty. They’ll do! 😊 Disclaimer do not handle sleepy or intoxicated. (Laughing( Just had too. Nice little coasters. I use them for decoupage, or even acrylic pouring, which both come out very nice, even on the edges, due to being uneven. They could possibly scratch surface of wood, being slate, so adhesive cork would help this. I like them and have ordered quite a few

I was excited based on the review, however let down greatly. There are a lot of broken pieces in each of the bags they came in. Lots of inconsistencies in thickness. Lots of them wobble a lot. On a positive note, they engrave beautifully. As they say, you get what you pay for.

I have a large 64 Oz mug I use for my water. And the normal coasters I had were too small, and stuck to it when I lifted it off the surface. I found 6" coasters with little ribs like a star pattern raised up from the center, so that it didn't sit all on that rubber - but even those little raised parts were enough to make the big coaster stick to it half the time and fall on the floor. Time for something other than rubbery stuff. These are absolutely perfect, since it doesn't matter that my mug hangs 1/2 inch off of the sides. It keeps it off the tabletop and absolutely will not stick to the bottom when the mug is lifted. Each is a bit different, which gives each a bit of a unique look. They have felt like pads on the bottom to protect the surface of your furniture. Can't believe there's six of them at this price. What a value.
