THE GOOD: It comes in a nice case, I nice addition to a fire extinguisher.THE BAD: Not applicable as I have not had to use it and I hope I never have to.THE UGLY: N/ANOTES: As an avid overlander and outdoorsman this has a home right next to the fire extinguisher in my rig. As other reviews have it it is some sort of fiberglass, which is a rough material with many small sharp pieces that chip off the material. The main thing is that it is a fire-resistant material which is appropriate to cover any stove or grill fire. If you use it without gloves, you will probably have to pull some sharp glassy pieces out of your hands. In my books it is still better than see your home burned. Hope I will not have to use it, but it is an inexpensive piece of equipment for a peace of mind.

I bought this about two years ago hoping I would never use it. A couple of days ago I actually had to use it. I had a fire in my kitchen and this emergency fire blanket worked like magic. I was literally within seconds of the fire getting out of hand and after I used it (I was shaken up, of course) I was able to go on about my evening as if nothing had happened. I can't speak highly enough about the value this thing adds to any home. It's the best purchase I have ever made, period. Also, I cannot even imagine the mess that a fire extinguisher would have made (I have two of those, but I didn't use them). I would have had to clean my entire kitchen, whereas this blanket made no mess at all. I am so thankful I had the mind to purchase it when I did. Please do likewise and one day you might thank yourself for making that purchase. However, place it somewhere when you can access it within seconds. That is literally how long you may have before it's too late.

Haven't had to use.....but am very happy we have it on hand.....in case we ever had to use it......

Just the right size to cover my stove so leave it nearby. Also put one inside my car and my fiancé’s for an engine fire or whatever MIGHT go wrong.

Last year we had a fire in th kitchen when cooking oil spilled onto an electric burner - poured a huge container of salt on it but still the flames were over a foot high b we fire it finally went out - later we saw ad for this product and now feel MUCH SAFER having it hung by a sturdy hook inside the kitchen door - fire extinguisher is downstairs and no good at all for emergencies in a second floor kitchen! Hope we never need it, but great peace of mind 👍
