My female cat was getting over weight due to me just leaving her food bowl on the floor. I tried this and she loves the taste of this food. She has lost a few pounds,but also switch here to her other healthy food when this gets a little pricey. My cat seems to have a little more energy and her overall health seems to have improved some since starting this cat food. Will definitely keep buying.

Good quality item and does what it says, but sadly my cats do not like the flavor. I keep buying it because they need to maintain their weight. I do add a small bit of their favorite dry, on top, or mixed in, to it to get them to eat it.

This cat food strikes the balance for my overweight cat that used to be on expensive prescription diet food and my slender cat. They both love it! It’s nice to be down to just 1 bag of cat food. Every one is happy and my chunky guy is still losing weight.

Amazon carries a great product and ships quickly. My problem is with the Delivery Carriers that deliver perfectly good products but on arrival of their destination are DAMAGED by careless actions of the delivery drivers. UPS has become a 2nd or 3rd rate delivery company. Seems like there is nothing being done to correct this situation. Personally, I’d prefer to receive my purchases in good and reasonable condition.The Science Diet pet foods are high quality and this particular formula has greatly helped my young female cat reach her goal of getting her weight in check. She loves to eat, loves the Chicken Flavor but she’s taking in 1/2 the calories. On a diet and doesn’t know it! Kudos to the Hills Company for a great product!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My cat prefers the taste of the regular indoor food by the same brand better but I feel like this genuinely helped with her portion control.

My vet advised a lower calorie and protein content food for my cat, vs their previous food (science diet adult indoor car age 7+) because my cat has some indicators of very very early kidney issues. We looked at every option at the pet store near us (petsmart) and couldn’t find anything better. The vet checked online and recommended this, so we ordered from Amazon. We transitioned our cats to it slowly and it didn’t seem to cause any stomach upset, and they seem ok with the flavor. It’s drier than their old food, and though lower calorie, I honestly think they make up for the difference by volume. My one cat actually gained a little weight after this switch. I think if you restrict gf quantity this might work fine for you, but because we have another cat who doesn’t need to lose weight, we were unable to do so. Just be warned your mileage may vary with this food. We’ll probably continue to repurchase it anyway, though, in the hopes we can push off any kidney decline.

I introduced the food with a 50/50 mix with their original food and there was no problems and no problems going to 100% new food. I don’t see them losing and weight but they love it eating it
