My granddaughter loves dressing up as a mermaid. We have purchased three other costumes from different companies. While pretty to look at, they were poorly made and very scratchy. She has sensitive skin, so I went on a search for a "non-itchy mermaid costume". Thanks to other customer reviews, this one popped up. The pictures and comments led me to ordering this, and it is perfect! The fabric is substantial; no itchy seams or sequins; the top fits snugly but has style, and the colors are rich. She loves it! The sizing is a little snug, but the fabric has some stretch so we are good!Yes, the accessories are plastic and may not last long, but so far she loves everything about this set! Thanks for this quality costume!

Why only four stars if my daughter loves it? The bows on the gloves immediately fell off and the crown was broken when we received it.

This hit all the qualifications for a perfect mermaid costume. My daughter loves the colors and the accessories that came with it are a plus. We got this for Halloween but she has been wearing it since it came in the mail. The bottom portion of the outfit is a nice stretchy fabric to allow kids to be comfortable while playing. The fit is true to size. I did size up just so that my almost 4 year old could wear it for two or so more years. The dress seems to have good durability but the jewels on the crown/tiara/earrings look like they could fall off with time. That’s kind of to be expected with children’s jewelry.
