Directions are simple and clear - I mounted this directly to studs, 4 total screws. Leveling and setup was a snap and my turntable is solid on the mount and vibrations\skips etc. are near zero. I can be playing music and jump on the floor directly in front of the player with no skips or issues. Works very well. Cost is high, yes you could build one if you're handy and save. For a boxed solution with no trips to Home Depot or bulk wood and tools, this is a great option.

They advertise the shelf dimension somewhat incorrectly. Although the shelf is indeed the size that they advertise, the upper edges are rounded so that the actual "platform" of the shelf measures 17 1/4" x 14 3/4" so that something a little larger than that will have its feet hanging over the edges of the shelf.

The shelf works great. I could not walk across the room before without the needle skipping. Now I can jump up and down right in front of it. A little pricey but works great. Easy to install. Comes with all the hardware and a drill bit.

If this were made in large quantities and sold through IKEA it would be $49. This is outrageously priced for what it is, BUT...it works! It completely eliminated skips from footfalls in my house that has floors that are like walking on a trampoline. I was able to easily get the bed absolutely flat using a level (and minimal adjustment). before purchasing this, I tried pretty much every isolation platform (both sand-filled and the Auralex) and cone/foot/sorbothane, etc. Nothing worked. The other option would be to make your own shelf. I've done that in the past, but it is hard to get everything just right, and it's still not isolated as well as this stand does.

This is a heavy and well built product. Comes with hardware to mount it to the wall which is a bonus.

Walls make the vibration worse and had to take it off the wall. Sat it on my stand and am using it there and seemed to help but made vibrations much worse when mounted to wall. Does not do what a reviewers You Tube video said it would do. Not even close

Excellent unit. East to mount and and eliminated feedback.
