Inkheart (Inkheart Trilogy)

Inkheart is a wonderful book; the minute I picked it up from the library shelves I was riveted. I started to read it in the car on the way home and the minute I was home I just sat down and transported myself into the world of Meggie and her father, Mo. I couldn't stop. I had to finish it and when I had done so I immediately had a new favourite book. I took it back to the library and then about a week later I got it out again. Although I already knew the ending I still found the book just as interesting as the first time I had read it. In the end I had to beg my mother to buy me Inkheart and she logged on to Amazon in fact and found it. I am so glad because it really is a superb story, as I have now discovered, are many of Cornelia Funke's books!

I THOUGHT INKHEART WAS A FANTASTIC BOOK. EVEN THOUGH IT IS QUITE A LONG BOOK IT EASILY KEPT ME INTERESTED ALL THE WAY THROUGH, WITH MYSTERIOUS CHARACTERS, AN EVER SUPRISING STORYLINE AND TREACHOROUS VILLIANS AND STUNNING PLOTS. SINCE READING INKHEART I HAVE NOTICED THE LEVEL OF MY WRITING HAS IMPROVED AND A NEW WORLD OF BOOKS OPEN UP TO ME. CORNELIA HAS ALSO MANAGED TO TOP ALL MY OLD FAVOURITE BOOKS AS INKHEART BECOMES MY FAVOURITE BOOK AND CORNELIA FUNKE BECOMES MY FAVOURITE AUTHOR!!! THIS BOOK IS A BOOK TO SUIT EVERYONE!!

I was given this book for Christmas,and i was expecting it to be good because i had read `The theif Lord` which is brilliant,but nothing could of prepaired me for how good it was going to be.After the first 2 pages i couldnt stop reading it,it was one of the best books i have ever read!!! I highly reccomend this book to anyone over the age of 10!

When my friend first gave me this book, i wasn't exactly sure this was a book that i would actually like. But once i started reading it, i couldn't put it down. It captivated me and i read it every moment i could. I loved this book, and i'm sure that millions of other people will also love it. Read and enjoy, just like i did

I read this book for a college class of mine, and found it to be very inventive. I read this book rather than do my homework just because I could not put it down for the whole week it took to finish. I am ordering the second book and waiting in anticipation of reading it over the Christmas break. I think that Corneila Funke is a great writer and deserves all of the recognition she is receiving for all of her American publications. In my opinion she is at about the same level as J. K. Rowling and J. R. R. Tolkein. Other customers have said that the text is too wordy and over verbaged, but I think that this is an effect of translating the original text from German. I know that the same phrases in French and English have different amounts of words and seem out of place when translated to the other. So overall, I highly recommend this book to any other fantasy lovers and just lovers of children's literature in general.
