Amazing mirror dash cam
I have owned other branded mirror dash cams, this seems to be far superior in quality. The installation was straight forward and I have been able to conceal the wires. The quality of the video play back is excellent. The camera has a clear view in day light and at night, previous cameras that I have owned have had issues with night time video capture, however this camera does not suffer from that. Reversing has now been made even simpler with the aid of the mirror dash cam showing full high resolution rear view images. The menu screen is user friendly and easy to navigate.I have added images that show the final position and concealed wiring cables placed behind head lining.Images also show the power supply cable routed within window pillar and under dash to utility plug. I will be investing in a hard wire kit shortly.Utilising the supplied facia tool the cable to the rear camera location is lost behind the various finishes to provide a concealed installation with minimal disruptionThe kadjar facilitates easy access to run the rear camera cable through the tailgate by removing the rear light access cover on the tail gate and one of the hand pull recess moulding provides access to feed the cable to the camera postion. My images also show the camera mounted using two supplied screws with pilot holes into plastic number plate lighting assembly. I found a bonus a pre drilled hole is already provided on cars like mine where reversing cameras are not fitted as standard. I must add, the camera can be detatched from the cable by way of the very small inline multipin plug and socket. The only issue is the existing window cover for the auto wipers and lane assistance reduces the upper part of the cameras line of sight in this application, however, this is not the fault of the camera.overall very please with the camera and would recommend this brand over the others.

Bought this to try, as a driving instructor.
To start - as an instructor, low sun at this time of the year (autumn or indeed, spring) in the morning or evening is a total pain in the rear end. However, as I have to have a rear view mirror to see behind, I can't use the sun blind to help as this also causes the rear view mirror to be hidden. There was also a Dash Cam (not going to mention them by name (rhymes with 'text' and 'lace'), which needed replacing as it was complete $£!^. I saw another car on the road with a camera mirror and thought "Aha!". So off I start a searching for a rear view camera mirror and after trawling through Amazon review after Amazon review, I land on the Pelsee P12 Pro.It arrived and, whilst I knew it needed something to hold onto (it normally replaces the actual mirror in your car, in normal use), my little suction cup mirror was not up to the task of holding on to the Pelsee. So, a quick trip to Halfords and armed with a bigger suction mirror, proceeded to install the Pelsee. This was fairly painless as there is a device to push cables under the trim and it works well.I installed it as an instructor mirror to start with as I wanted to see how it would look and how it would perform. After a couple of emails back and forth with the amazing support team at Pelsee, I was able to set it up so that I had a view of the rear as I would with a regular mirror. This week, off I go with new electronic mirror in situ and so the testing started. Keep in mind that this review is from the perspective of a driving instructor, NOT my customers (who love the Pelsee it by the way). The width of the rear camera is excellent. It almost reaches the width of my door mirrors and allows me to see EVERYTHING behind, including what it right under the rear window. Night vision is also excellent and street lights bring the road alive. Obviously, there isn't anything one can do about country roads that are unlit. Damn you physics! As mentioned above, I had intended to then replace the internal rear view mirror with this but.. tiny points preclude me doing this - the width of the view of the camera means that objects such as other vehicles appear a little more distant than they really are if looking in a real, flat mirror. That makes judging for my customers, for example, when slowing down, a little more difficult. And that, is the only reason why I won't place it in the middle. For everything else, it is perfect. So, for other driving instructors, if you want to try this as a way of getting WAY more view of the rear of your vehicle, this Pelsee P12 Pro is 100% the way to go. It hasn't solved my being blinded by the sun, but it gives, by itself, more ability to duck behind the camera and not be blinded. As an experienced driver, I have quickly become accustomed to the distance objects behind are and that is no bother at all.Added bonus? It's a dash cam front and rear.I have tried using the memory card to read files. This is a problem for Mac users as it appears to be formatted in NTFS (a Windows file format for storage devices). I am currently installing some software to see if that allows access to the card and will update this review with my findings. So, for Windows users, I am expecting that all is OK, for Mac users, at the moment, not so much, which makes the Dash Cam part of this mirror, a little more of an annoyance when you want to use footage for lessons or to report some seriously suspect driving.Despite the file system problem, I already would not want to be without the mirror feature of this device and I am now on the look out for a proper method of attaching it to the Dashboard of the car so that I can use the sun blin. It's electronic, it can go anywhere. How's that for a feature.100% recommended for driving instructor use if you are interested.

Good camera with one Big flaw
Camera was easy to set up and provides really good quality footage. Everything you need to get up and running is included in the box including a memory card which is a nice touch. The mirror has voice control and you can switch between having the screen off (which due to the reflective nature of the device acts like a normal mirror), front camera, rear camera or both cameras at once. Voice control is good and picks up the commands most of the time. Now the flaw... The rear camera has a built ins reversing camera mode and was one of the reasons I purchased this model. To use this, there is a red wire coming from the rear camera that gets connected to your reversing light positive terminal. When you activate reverse the camera flips into reverse mode and 2 grid lines are shown to assist with distance. These can be adjusted up and down to help perfect distance measurement but the width CANNOT be adjusted. So in my case, the guidelines are way narrower than the actual vehicle. Yes, you have your mirrors but it would have been good to be able to adjust the width too for extra reassurance for wide long vehicles. Be aware of this fact before you buy

Can’t fault it. Recommend it.
Really recommend this. Partner for my van which doesn’t have windows the rear camera makes it much easier to do manoeuvers and see what’s behind you. The driver features like obstacle guidance and blindspot monitors also work really well only problem was that I didn’t have a rear view investigator to attach it to, so I bought a cheap one relationship and mounted on the dashboard which which can Get a bit hard to see when the Sun shines on it but in a normal car though would be fine. Criminal we get this month.
