Bissell Bare Floor Tool 203-5642

Baseline: Like every miracle cleaning machine the Bissell floor and carpet cleaner is just average at best. When cleaning hard floors this attachment makes "average" just a hair better and a tad easier -- so, its does what its designed to do.Oddly, unlike other reviews I had no problem attaching it or issues with it staying in place. I suppose those who wrote of those issues must not have been very clever or had a very irregular floor surface catching the edges and pulling it off -- in which case it would take little effort or thought as to wedging it in place if it were pulling free.

The Bissell bare floor tool is a must have attachment for use with the Bissell floor cleaning machines. Works great! Cheap price for the benefit provided by this little attachment. The tool is a little difficult to put on and take off until you figure out the trick. I do think this attachment should have been provided with the rug cleaner instead of having to purchace as additional attachment. Delivered promptly br Amazon. Machines that use this attachment are not really meant for cleaning hard floors. This tool lifts all the moving brushes off the floor so the only scrubbing is from the piece for foam wrapped in nylon mesh (white in the photo) and the fixed row of red brushes - energized solely by moving the machine back and forth over the floor. There is a squeegee meant to help remove the water but it isn't very effective. This means the floor must be clean before you start. If you have a tile floor that is even a little dirty you should look elsewhere.Oh, and the instructions (in the machine manual, nothing came with the tool itself) don't give much of a clue as to how the tool should be installed. It isn't difficult but it also isn't obvious.

This product was noted to fit my carpet shampooer. When I received the item it was almost 2 inches too wide.

I use my Bissell on hard floor surfaces. Using the Bissell without this tool is messier, but I am not sure it is worth the effort to install and take off. Without the tool you make a good sized pool of liquid, but it can be suctioned up pretty quickly.

Maybe it’s not the piece’s fault but it certainly doesn’t assist in sucking up water off the hard floor. Pushes dirty water around essentially. Super disappointing.

This this was not what I expected at all...Left so much water on the floor when using this. I gave it two really good chances... Not even acceptable.I ended up returning.

Liked the idea for an attachment as I had the majority of carpet removed from my home and added tile. The tool works fairly well but am not sure that it will hold up past a 3rd use. Fabric material seems flimsy.

Not work on hardwood

Shipping took quite a while, product fits the machine and works well though. Good price to be able to clean hard floors with the bissell.
