Replaced an older chain driven opener with this. If you are somewhat handy you can install this yourself. There are videos on the interweb showing how to install. I had to run electric wiring and rerun the push button opener wires which was the most difficult part of the install. This opener is wonderful - quiet, smooth opening and closing, and takes up far less room. Would strongly recommend. I called Chamberlain customer service with some questions and they were quite helpful....

We love this opener. My garage is under my living room and the old opener was vibrate through the entire house. This one is super quiet and doesn't wake my wife up if I open it when she is sleeping. I love the locking mechanism and the app is really cool. I can open and close my garage from my phone. I installed it myself on my room up 5 panel wood door. The door is heavy and I just used the setting when I installed it without any issues. It was a little difficult hooking it up to WIFI and I had to call the phone number to have them walk me through. I think most manufacturers slip in something to make you call in so you register thete product. Overall we really like the side mount opener and the APP.

The media could not be loaded. Like the title says, I'm very pleased with these openers. I bought 3 of them for a shop I recently had built. 2 are on 9'x8' insulated doors and one is on an 8'x7' insulated door. I'm a very handy person but I was nervous about spending so much money and installing them since I've never messed with garage doors or openers. Turns out, these are pretty darn easy to set up if you have some tools and know how to use them. Most of the setup was dummy-proof and the instructions for setting the door profile and travel limits were straightforward. They are quiet enough that when I pull in and park my car, I have to open the door and look to see if it's closing because I can't hear it. As of the time of this review, we have 220 cycles on my door, 185 on my wife's, and 48 on our patio-access door. I haven't had any issues with any of the 3 openers. Luckily I haven't needed the battery backup yet, but I did unplug 2 of the openers and cycle the door open/closed several times. Worked great and didn't seem like it was losing steam even after 4 cycles. The MyQ access works well and is great if you're on a motorcycle or just don't have a remote with you. Hopefully these will keep performing well. Will update this review if anything changes.

I have had one of these installed and running for a while, and I decided to buy two more for my other doors. I have had zero issues out of the original purchase. If you are somewhat handy, the installation is quite simple. A couple of good YouTube videos are out there for those who run into issues. I've read through the reviews, and I'll say, don't read too far into the negative ones. When I placed my order, one didn't arrive, but a replacement was delivered the next day. The replacement was defective and out of the box, with a faulty travel module, but Amazon Customer Service took excellent care of me. I love the ceiling space I created; it gives me more storage space above my doors. I also love that it doesn't place so much strain on the top panel of the door like with traditional trolley drive openers. You can trust this company, as Chamberlain, Liftmaster, and Craftsman door openers are all made by the same folks. I will finish with this: if your door isn't correctly balanced, meaning if you lift it manually and it doesn't stay put in any position, do not try to adjust the door spring if you do not possess the proper tools and knowledge. You risk being seriously injured. Call a qualified technician to do that for you. I had to adjust mine, but I've been doing this for a while.
