Baggallini Bon Voyage Bagg

I ordered this bag looking for something that I could take on my upcoming cruise that was good looking (for what it is) and was light and on the small side while providing enough space to carry the necessities (which of course is different for everyone). When it arrived I was surprised at the size, which was a bit larger than I expected from the pictures though I'm not sure why because I'm pretty sure I pulled out a tape measure. But, I was willing to take a chance on this since it's made by a great company and I liked the accent color on the piping. I'd like to note that many of the other "travel" bags sold by companies like Travelon (while very functional) are not offered in the range of colors that most Baggalini bags are offered in and this makes this bag even more appealing. We shouldn't have to look 'blah' or frumpy in order to achieve functionality. The bag is organized quite well with several different zipped pockets, including a main zipped pocket that could easily hold an iPhone, a point and shoot digital camera, your husbands wallet (if you're so inclined to carry it!), keys, medication if you need to carry it etc. It also has a place to secure two pens which is a nice feature. The zippers from the main compartment in addition to one of the front full-zipper compartments can be hidden under the flaps, a nice unintended security feature. It also has a nice open big pocket on the back when you need quick access. The thing that convinced me to keep this bag, not because there was anything wrong with it but because I wanted something quite small while away, was that it WOULD be great when I got back from vacation on trips into the city or where I'd be doing a lot of walking. I love my Dooney and Bourke purse, but this is so much lighter and functional when I don't have the luxury of carrying the world around with me. I hope to carry this on and off for several years to come.

I do not like to carry a large purse while on vacation. So when my husband and I began planning our last trip, I went hunting for a good travel friendly purse and discovered this one. I looked at multiple Baggallini purses and bags and settled on this Bon Voyage Bagg. I am so glad that I did!My passport fits perfectly in the 'hidden' slot with the snap closure between the front and rear compartments, the rear of the bag is perfect for boarding passes and train tickets, I really liked the slot for my pen as it is very helpful to have one of your own on a plane to fill out customs forms and my smaller travel wallet and a pack of cigarettes fit into the main compartment very well, albeit it was a snug fit. At first, I thought this bag had too many pockets and compartments for such a small purse. But I learned to appreciate them while on vacation. I was able to use one for my Pesos and another to keep my US dollars in separate. Very useful if you travel very often.I did not put anything in the outer most front pocket as the bag would bulge if anything larger than a house key was placed in there. I removed one star for this as that zippered pocket is useless to me for anything other than perhaps receipts.I recommend this bag to anyone who needs a simple, yet functional purse/bag for travel purposes. The color (I purchased Tomato) also was a bonus as it stands out in a crowd making it easily identifiable to anyone you may be traveling with - my husband and I got separated in a major international airport after going through customs and he located me in the sea of people because I was the only one with a "really bright purse", according to him. :)

PROS:I love the look of this bag in espresso with the red lining. I also like that it has more than just one big compartment. The material is substantial, yet not too heavy. The bag is well-made, overall.CONS:There are several design flaws that prompted me to return the bag.1. There are too many compartments. This constrains flexibility and adds to the weight of the bag. You have to take too many steps to get to some of the compartments. This is like having to go through too many clicks on a website or in an application, or too many phone button presses on a customer service call. Very irritating.2. The 2 zippered pockets on the flaps are to narrow to get your hand into. This results in the zipper scraping your hand when you insert it. If the bag shape were designed so that the top was slightly wider than the bottom (like a pail) rather than the other way around, this could be avoided.3. By the time you fill all the compartments, the actual space in the main compartment is minimal. And despite all the compartments, I couldn't figure out (and I am a designer/organizer) how to pack it up so that my most frequently-used items (cell phone, sunglasses, reading glasses, bills, coins, and cards) were easily accessible. If you put anything with any weight in the flap compartments, such as a key ring with half a dozen keys - or even a few lighter things - the flaps get weighty and opening and closing them feels awkward.This is the 3rd smallish baggallini I've bought and I've had to return them all due to irritating design flaws.

love the purse just the right size and it holds everything I need.

Nice little bag to carry when travelling. Not too bulky, but carries a lot and can be tucked into a larger travel bag for boarding your plane so that you don't get dinged for too much carry on luggage.

I was able to transfer everything from my much larger Baggallini bagg into the much smaller Bon Voyage Bagg, with the exception of a few non-essential items. The Bon Voyage Bagg is much lighter, more comfortable, and convenient to wear cross shouldered, thus allowing my hands to be free.

Perfect out for the day bag. Wish it came with its own small wallet though.

This is the perfect purse for someone who travels but does not want ot carry a big purse around while having fun. it even fitss your ipad mini so it perfect to carry around.
