Vinalito Wine Aerator

Having spent over 40 years in the wine trade and seen many gadgets come and go, I have to say this is one of the best I have come across. I must admit to being a bit sceptical at first but on it's first test it has come out with flying colours. I used a wine that I had previously breathed for 4 hours before I felt it had reached optimum drinking stage. I did try it as soon as it was opened and was a little bit worried because it was for a tasting and it did not show well on the palate.So it seemed the best wine to test out the Vinalito Wine Aerator. So the bottle was duly opened and two glasses were ready, one sample direct from the bottle and one sample passed through the aerator; and the results were quite clear, the aerated wine was just about perfect, relatively smooth and well rounded on the palate. However, the sample poured direct from the bottle was just not upto scratch, being coarse, tart, and totally unbalanced to the palate. Now comes the rub, the wine tasted was priced at around £12.00 , and I felt the aerator adequately performed it's function in making this wine available to the palate for immediate consumption. I now need to see what happens with a £3.99 - £4.99 red, which is not a price point I ever buy at, and then I will honestly be able to say this is a must buy for anybody interested in improving their palate.Even at this stage I would not hesitate to recommend this to any serious wine drinker, in fact I have already done so to a tasting group I am involved with.

I bought this as a gift for my dad so I haven’t used it myself. However I was told it is a bit fussy to use for what it does.

This device makes good red wine great, and nasty plonk drinkable. Works less well with rosé or white; it's not really supposed to anyway. Wash in fresh (preferably lime-free) water with no soap.

I bought this as a present for my Dad and he has told me that it works very well and gives the wine a nice flavour. He only drinks red that's been aerated through it now! So I guess that's a good review! Hope this helps you decide to purchase the item.

You really can taste the difference with this product. The perfect gadget for those impatient wine fanatics!

Marvellous bit of kit which should be on the wish list of every wine lover, brings out the best in cheaper wines and takes decent wine to a whole new level. Thoroughly recommended.
