As a teacher of writing, what first struck me about this book was all of the incredibly helpful, practical, and forward thinking ways I could embrace AI and ChatGPT into my practice. There are LOADS of examples for the writing context which I absolutely adore. Another plus was the focus on documentation of learning and how AI is aligned with this type of assessment. There are several resources and tech tools provided, some I am familiar with (yay!) and some that are new to me (also yay!) And the final thing to stand out to me (if I had to settle on 3) was the focus on deep learning and preparing our learners for a richer schooling experience. A fantastic addition to my resource library as have all of the Infused Series been!

AI can also be especially useful in supporting students with learning challenges or language barriers. As a library media specialist, this book was particularly helpful in reiterating my role in expanding students’ digital literacy, including the detection of AI bias and misinformation. Furthermore, it highlighted the importance of teaching students how to create effective AI prompts. Overall, I give it four out of five stars for being a useful resource to launch me into the many uses of AI in education.
