Purchased this as a way to keep plants, vases and ornaments secure on shelves. Works perfectly even when getting bumped from people and pets. Highly recommend!

Rubbish leaves oily residue barely holds my minis in place

Having watched our youngest cat race across the living room floor, jump onto a glass-topped table and skid across the surface stopping only just short of a vase, I decided it might be time to invest in something to protect the ornaments. Museum gel appears to be the answer.It is a thick, clear gel that is easily broken up into tiny balls, a little like blu-tack and just as reusable. These balls are then stuck under the item you need to secure, dotted evenly around the perimeter and middle to give good adhesion. Check position and then lightly press into place. Adhesion is immediate (you can adjust lighter items before you press into place) and items can no longer be tapped out of position but an overnight cure will provide best adhesion (no cats in the living room until then, just in case the anti-skid brakes stop working). The fact it is clear means that it won’t show up under glass or other transparent items.It seems to work well and, in the event you misalign your item, a simple twist at the base will release the gel’s grip. So far it is working well and I will update in the event of any future problems, but it appears to be putting the brakes on my youngest cat’s attempts to put my nerves to the test with her last minute manoeuvring. Fingers crossed it continues to do so.

Not as tough and durable as I thought it would be

Mine is used for my 1/6th scale figure's to help them stand when not using the stands that they come with.... Can be a little runny if it gets hot where your using it but still works well.
