Defective. Did not function.

The manual regarding the input connection is hard to understand. There is no mention of a 120 vac connection in the paper that accompanies this relay. If you follow the instructions for 230 vac you will be fine. Apparently the center terminal A3 is used for 24 vac or 24 vdc. This would be useful if you need to power this from say your furnace 24 vac supply for some reason. It is a good value for the price I paid.

Many Devices designed to work at 230VAC work in a range starting at around 85VAC, making them compatible worldwide. The spec sheet only claims -15%, +10% supply voltage tolerance, but that almost certainly only applies to the 24VDC input. Being an electronic designer myself, I took a chance and assumed that the device's designer didn't do anything stupid to make it not work at 120VAC. As best I can tell, my bet paid off.

it just works!! needed an auto shutoff timer for the ceiling vent fans in our bathrooms. wired it as shown on the diagram. configured the timer accordingly, and it works great! got my fans to auto shut down around the 30 min mark. no more fans found running after an extended trip out of town!
