Worked perfectly on mom's recliner
Really love this design. We were able to set the length of the connecting bar so it was really tight between the 2 legs (front to back). They even stayed on when I tilted and picked up the chair. Our recliner has metal legs that flair out a bit which actually worked to our advantage. We particularly like how it looks more like a piece of furniture versus a plastic block. It actually appears like it is part of the chair. It feels stable when sitting or rocking and there does not seem to be any stability issues when reclining. I tried flopping down hard to see if it would move or feel tippy - it was totally solid and did not slide. Our engineered floor has some texure so not sure of it would slip on a smoother surface. We do have a power motion chair and it is a small petite size recliner. I am not sure how it would work on a large, bulky recliner. This works perfectly for my mom and her lady's recliner. We are ordering a second set for another chair. We orginally ordered 3 different riser types and tested. For us, this design was by far the best. Also like the fact that it is ADA compliant.

A Perfect Solution to a Low Recliner
I loved this petite automatic recliner. However, after a few months I noticed it was getting more difficult to stand up if I sat for 30 minutes or more. I purchased these chair risers to see if 3 inches in height would help. The risers did not interfere with the chair mechanism and I now can easily stand after sitting for a length of time. They are sturdy and were very easy to install. The dark wood tone even matched the furniture in my livingroom. The chair is just as steady as it was sitting on its metal feet. Great solution to my problem.

Tippy and not stable
Was hoping to use these on a manual recliner, but found them to be way too unstable for any appreciable real world application. Bummed, wanted a bit of extra height to assist me with exciting a chair to stand after surgery.

Sturdy!
Got this for my 89 yr old mother who struggles to get up out of her recliner. I worried it would be wobbly. We put them into place, lifting the recliner. I sat in it and rocked around as much as I could (I weigh a lot more than my tiny mother) and it didn't feel wobbly in the least. She LOVES how easily she can get up and out of her chair now. It used to take her two or three tries, now she's up gracefully on the first try. You'd think we suddenly gave her new mobility, she's so thrilled with it. I imagine it works fine for a sofa or regular easy chair. But I can tell you it even works well with a recliner. She is able to recline her chair and the lifts don't make it feel insecure at all. Great product, worth the price.

Not stable on chairs
Because the two brackets on each side are not connected, sliding a chair on a floor with these without it all collapsing is nearly impossible. These are more suited to heavy furniture which once in place will not be moved.

It's the best risers we found, but would slide on tile floor.
I am so glad I found this. My husband lost his full mobility after Covid, and never really gained it back. He is weak on his core, and trying to get up from a regular chair is hard. This is a life-saver. We have tried many risers, and this one is the winner. The only drawback is we have tile floor and it slides, so I put a yoga mat underneath it, and it holds the chair steady.

Excellent Safe Furniture Riser
I looked at many other riser options available on Amazon and the idea of just placing a block under each leg, with nothing to prevent the riser from tipping over, just didn’t seem like a safe option. When I saw this product with the locking system connecting two blocks to each other, the leg cradled tight in the corner of each block and this product being ADA approved I was sold. We installed on a chair and a couch (be sure to install front to back, not left to right, this way your feet won’t constantly hit and step on the adjustable bar if installed front-leg to front-leg and back-leg to back-leg). Very simple to install. I just bought another set for another chair.
