Crapped out in little over a year. My unit came with a fan that was hitting the casing and made a lot of noise. Was able to fix that by bending the casing a little. After that it worked fine but it still burned out the fan in a year. Should have returned immediately..

I'm happy I purchased this product. It's just what I needed to solve my issues I had.

The fan on my 5000w unit was installed backwards, so it was touching the case and unable to spin. This automatically drops the rating to 3 stars. Unfortunately, this is pretty common with these cheap transformers and it was one of the first things I checked when I opened the case. ALWAYS open the case and inspect everything before turning these types of devices on for the first time, unless you like magic smoke and flames. The side of the case was also slightly dented and the box / packing was minimal, at best. After flipping the fan around (it should push air OUT), the fan didn't turn on until the unit had been running at 4000w for about 5-10 mins. It got pretty warm before the fan first turned on, but the auto temperature sensing and fan speed do appear to work. If your fan ever fails, 90mm 220v AC fans are under $20 on Amazon and it's easily replaceable. I don't recommend pushing more than 4000w through these units and always hard wire them in with at least 8 gauge copper and properly ground them. The breaker tripped on mine at 4500w and the voltage drop at high currents is substantial (240v down to 222v @ 16a). It's pretty heavy for the size and not really meant for traveling or high vibration environments. It's still a solid device and definitely worth the cost. Not sure how long it will last, so I keep a spare on the shelf.

Si bien no calienta mucho, el ventilador dejó de funcionar al mes. Una pena, no se como se puede arreglar
