It doesn't have a seperate release button for the beaters, you release the beaters by pushing down on the power button

What type of plastic are the easy clean beaters made of? are the other beaters, dough hooks and whisk made of stainless steel?

I don't know what kind of plastic the easy clean beaters are made of, but they are plastic. The other items are metal, stainless steel I guess. This is a very powerful hand mixer, too powerful actually. I have only used the first speed because the other speeds are way too fast. Only 1 speed, meaning no low or high speed.
