First time, I’ve done a self fix annnnndddd this honestly worked out great. I was so happy and relieved it worked bc I was quoted a $1000 to replace the screen, from the Apple Store. So this saved me $700 . Amazon wouldn’t let me upload multiple videos so I made one big one. I was super stoked that the screen providers aren’t a scam annnd that the screens work. So that’s why I made a video for ppl who I like me and don’t wanna drop $300 and find out something doesn’t work. My video is NOT A TUTORIAL ahaha but just a review. With the purpose of helping you formulate your own opinion on whether to buy or not. It’s only been 2 days so I don’t know if it is “worth the wear” but so far, this is the better option. In total it took me 1hr 10mins to replace the screen. I tried to be SUPER CAREFUL. BUT I did lose 2 of the TINY screws. Which sucked but THANKFULLY, the old screen had two of the same screws holding in a bracket. So I was able to take those as replacements and they fit perfectly. It does come with the original “app3l” logo on the front.

I see no visible difference in the screen quality vs the OEM display. Only thing different is the max brightness setting is a pinch more dim than OEM. The lack of true tone is truly not an issue for me. Camera functions perfectly. One thing I am noticing, but could potentially be in my head, is that the response time on this LCD seems to be slightly lower than the OEM LCD. The response time of the OEM display with true tone is about 35ms or so. It seems as though this monitor might be in the 27-30ish range possibly? If anyone can verify this information that would be great. This could be looked at as an unexpected plus if true.
