Wakes me up in the morning.
If you take more than the suggested does you can get a niacin "rush". Forewarned. I take this 2x/day, and feel it 'wakes me up'. This is suggested by homeopathics I use for brain health. That is all I am concerned about.

Help for the common cold??
I bought this awhile ago as I was trying many different things to fight my psoriasis. I had forgotten that I had it after having moved on to try other remedies. Well, I started to catch a cold a few weeks ago, one that had been going around the office that was pretty bad. I was also just getting ready to go on vacation as well. Perfect timing. Family members both told me to try some Zinc. I googled zinc and colds and lo and behold, there are studies that say Zinc helps when you are sick. I remembered this bottle I bought and took about a cap full. I kid you not, within 10 minutes I was actually feeling better! My throat stopped burning. The feeling of being sick faded. I couldn't believe it. The latest studies indicate that taking Zinc in the early stages of a cold cuts the time of being sick in half and I can attest to it. Almost everyone that caught this bug at work came down with bronchitis, had to see the doctor, and had to get a prescription. I DID NOT! Seven weeks later a few at work are still trying to get over this bug!I really didn't expect such rapid results when I took a dose. I was just hoping that it would speed up my recovery. I continued to take about a capful in the morning for the next 3 days. On those morning when i awoke, the feeling of being sick began creeping back in so I took a dose and then felt good enough to function the rest of the day. On day 5 I stopped taking it. I plan to keep a bottle of this around in case I get sick again! I really love all the ionic mineral type supplements out there.

Good product at a fair price
I normally order Liquid Zinc Assay from another seller here on Amazon but this last time around they were all out of stock so I decided to try Good State-Liquid Ionic Zinc. Overall it seems like a good product sold by a quality company. The product arrived quickly and so far has seemed to work fine(if work is the correct term). The taste is similar to other zinc products i have used as supplements and the price seems very fair. The only small annoyance I have found is that a chunky white residue quickly builds up on the outside of the container after pouring. While this is true of other zinc products I have never seen it happen to this magnitude before. Perhaps it is because this product is more zinc per ml which I suppose means more bang for your buck. While it's not a deal-breaker at all it is rather gross looking to have this large white growth looking thing hanging off the bottle, but again, as far as actually using the product everything seems great and this bottle will last me a long time. If you don't mind rubbing the bottle down with a clean rag every few days you should not have a problem with the outer build-up. In summary, good product and fair price

Overwhelming taste but once masked, hard to beat
Based on the reviews and information about this product provided by the seller, I am confident this is the best zinc product available, or at least that I've seen after a thorough search. There are no fillers or potentially toxic ingredients added; it's in a more absorbable form that most zinc products, it's reasonably priced; and it's made in the USA.However, when I added just one serving (18 mg zinc) to a water/lemon juice mixture, it made me nauseous. I read this could be because it's best to take it after meals, so I did that, and still it made me nauseous, though less than before. I got smart (or maybe desperate lol) and added the zinc to my protein powder drink and finally the taste was gone.So if you're sensitive to zinc in supplement form, you may have to experiment with different methods of masking the taste, but it's worth it in my opinion.

My favorite supplement!
I was a little skeptical when I first tried this zinc, but soon I prized it above all my other supplements. I was to the point I was having colds and sinus infections all winter, so I started the zinc before I got sick. I think it really built up my immune system, because I got thru the winter much better than past years. I want a bottle on hand at all times. Yes, it does have a slight metallic taste, but one can add it to a couple ounces of juice. I don't like pouring it into the cap, because I overfill it. I wish they offered a dropper to fit the top.

It's okay
Can't stand the taste even when I mix it with other things. Because of that, I haven't taken it regularly so I have no idea if it really helps.
