Rugged and works great
Son got it for me during CyberMonday to use on the farm. Already found my cat food thief... a smart racoon that figured out how to open the door, and then close it after himself [keeping out the opossum and rat that came later]. This unit is very rugged, with the enclosure is built like an industrial electrical enclosure. There is a 1/4-20 tripod socket on the bottom, so you can attach it to any camera mount that uses the standard thread [I use it with a clamp-on tripod camera mount] The detachable tilting bracket is also rugged, but I found the supplied strap not very convenient... a quick-release strap would have been much more convenient and secure, but I have some around the farm that will be substituted for the one supplied. It comes with the memory card, which is nice. It does use either one set of 4 AA batteries, or you can double the time by filling the second battery space with another set of 4 AAs. There is also a sealed DC power receptacle on the bottom to use with an external power supply [if leaving it attached outside for long periods, I would probably use a little electrical conduit sealing clay around it]. I did contact their tech service to ask if it would run on a standard phone 5v power bank, and they never answered my actual question, but just said that I could use it with a 6v DC supply. I did try the unit on my lab DC power supply, and it works fine on 5.0v, so I rigged up a USB-to-3.5mm x 1.35mm DC power plug to use a power bank [which is 5.3v] if needed. Evidently they do not bypass the internal battery holder when an external power supply is used, so pull out the batteries if using an external power source to prevent battery drain and/or battery damage. The nighttime motion sensor appears to be pretty sensitive. It triggered when even a small rat tried unsuccessfully to get into the cat food [after the racoon closed the door], and the IR LED bank puts out no visible light that spooks them at all. The time stamp on the photos is great, to know when things happened. It's easy to use, rugged, does what it's supposed to with high quality, and gives me the information that I needed and bought it for... so five stars.

Great Trail Cam - Affordable and Easy to Use
This rugged trail cam is performing well with no leaks and very good picture and video quality. Easy set up with provided instruction manual, batteries, SD card and strap. Easy to mount and review video without removing from position. I’m able to capture wildlife in my yard with excellent daytime photos and very good night vision photos which are clear and better than expected for such an affordable price. Would highly recommend this trail cam for entry level use, to add additional cameras to your viewing space or to replace more expensive/lower quality cameras to a viewing setup. Very pleased with this purchase.

Could be better, could be worse...
The pros: The camera is easy to set up and use. The accessories it came with are great. The quality of the day time pictures is excellent. The cons: Regardless of the setting, the night vision photos and video are grainy and unclear. Regardless of the settings, this camera goes through batteries like crazy. In four weeks, we're on our third set of eight AA batteries (and we're no where near a plug to use DC power). I don't know if I want to shell out for an entire rechargeable battery set ($40-100) for this camera. Would I buy this again? Maybe, if they improved the battery issue and night vision issue.

Doesn't work
Doesn't record. Period. No matter what setting. What a piece of junk! One day outside return window. Didn't check recording until today. Went through every single setting. I have 4 of these piece of crap cameras. I've set up two. One recorded, but at RANDOM times and every few seconds. I have it set to record when activated. I did not set it to record at certain times. Now, that same camera will not record AT ALL. And neither will the other one. Yes, the batteries work. This is the WORST thing I have ever purchased on Amazon. I am disgusted.

Works well night and day
I move the camera around my yard to get pictures of the visitors, these are just a few. Living on the edge of the dessert in New Mexico I get a large variety of critters visiting. The motion sensor is extremely sensitive, it picked up leaves moving and vehicles passing on a road behind my house. I had a problem with the memory card not locking into place, contacted them and I had a new one in days, they stand behind the product. I'm having issues with coyotes so will be setting up on the desert to see if I can find the den.

Bad battery life and AVI video format is non-traditional
I recommended this camera to friends who purchased it for me to use for them on their property. It's a user-friendly design. The menu is bright and intuitive and the resulting videos and photos are good. The battery life was less than a week. Quite unacceptable for a camera that takes an hour to access. Have contacted the manufacturer for advice. The other issue is the file type the manufacturer uses for the video. The video is .AVI, which is a common way to containerize various video formats. But whatever video format is contained in this .AVI file is not recognized by the professional video editing software I use. The camera's .AVI videos play fine on the desktop. But, unlike other .AVI files produced by other cameras, these .AVI files require a 3rd party app to convert them for formal video editing, and that's a hassle.

Works great
I used the camera to see why goldfish were disappearing from my pond each night. The trail camera clearly showed the raccoon "fishing" in the pond.
