An excellent basic manual to improve your shooting skills.
As a person who has had a passion for numerous martial and combat arts for more than 7 decades, (Judo, Jujitsu, Karate-Do, Knife fighting, Stick fighting, Combat shooting and many other arts), I am always seeking to learn more about those topics. This is why when I saw this 148-page soft cover book (How to shoot like a Navy SEAL: Combat marksmanship fundamental by Chris Sajnog, Navy SEAL firearms instructor) on Amazon I decided to purchase it.As someone who has served in the U.S. Navy (Not as a Navy SEAL), and with a 30-year career as a law enforcement officer, (Patrol, Detective, and a Firearms, Baton, and D.T. Instructor) I was familiar with much of the material in this fantastic book; however, I recommend this very practical and informative book to anyone who desires to improve their shooting skills. I agree with everything this Navy SEAL teaches in this excellent book. The author emphasizes this simple truth that no matter what kind of skill, whether it be unarmed or weapon combat, FOCUSED AND REGULAR PRACTICE, PRACTICE, AND MORE PRACTICE is the key to becoming proficient. Even at my old age I still train intensely 6 days a week, which includes dry fire practice. As the author states, do not expect to become a good combat shooter from just reading this book, but one must actually put in the practice time. This educational book covers safety procedures, the habit of perfection, combat marksmanship fundamentals, shooting platform, grip, sight refinement, sight picture, breathing, trigger control, follow through, calling your shot, finishing the fight and mission planning.Even though I learned most of this in the law enforcement range instructor school (At the University of Illinois at the time) this book is an excellent review reference source for anyone who is serious about combat shooting.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Tactical Principles of the most effective Combative Systems).

Everyone will learn something from this book
The book breaks down shooting to the basic steps that are required for accuracy. I can truly say that I learned things that made me a better shot, and the next trip to the range proved it.It is always good to get advice from a methodical person who is an actual expert. It is also a privilege to buy something from a person who served his country as one of the best of the best. Hooya!

Great book - partical knowledge, followup with the 12 videos.
Chris writes the book so beginners, intermeadates, and experts can take something away from the book, I like that he debunks some technics that he himself found not to be the best for people who want to improve their shooting. Being a visual person I liked the videos that allow me to follow what Chris is demostrating. I look forward to reading Chris's other books as I continue to hone my skills.

exceptional guide on understanding how to be an exceptional shooter
Sajnog presents a truly holistic view of how exceptional shooters master their craft. He provides real world lessons on everything from meditation to breathing that help the student train his entire body to shoot. Unlikely that there is another book as comprehensive or thorough as this one. Sajnog is not just a great marksman, he’s an outstanding teacher.

Good tips and tricks
It lays out fundamental shooting techniques/information and extends it in a way that you can implement some aspect of it into your regiment. It's rock solid info that every shooter should be taught before they even pick up a firearm. No matter what level of shooter you are it will give you some recommendations on how to improve your performance.I can honestly say this is one of the few books I have read in recent years and I am glad I did. The information in here has the potential to benefit me in a way that is extremely important should the need for its use ever arise."In a society where the perfect answer for any tragedy or hardship is to ban whatever tool was responsible for it; we fail to realize that the inanimate object held no ill will or malice towards the victims to which it was used upon. So long as we are ignorant enough to believe that a mere tool can be used as a scapegoat to avoid the crux of the issue; and that is our complete moral decay in American society which tells people they are perfect and everything they do is justifiable because it is right 'in their eyes.' We then wonder why someone whose life is spiraling out of control and depressed decides it's ok to take their anger and frustration out on those around them. Let's be real and address the real issue at hand and that is an immoral, egocentric society bearing its poisonous psychotic fruits. Moral relativism is how we justify our own shortcomings and excuse our bad choices.. Until we see that morality is universal, tragic loss of life will continue and at a rate parallel to our cultural degradation. All my life I have never seen or heard of a gun shooting someone on its own, so the next time a horrific event happens in our society.. let us not point the finger at the tool used to perpetrate such acts, instead let us turn that hand around and point the finger directly at ourselves and our lack of morality and common decency."-SDE-

Waste of money and more importantly of time
I understand that a military operator does not have to be a novel writer at the same time and usually is not but if this is a celebrity amongst nave seals then I start to wonder what the others are. Practically nothing to say and add except repeating the mantra that repetition drives excellence - probably the reason why this is practically the sole theme of the book with mega large fonts, triple line spacings and one which I read end to end in under an hour. I am definitely not a seal nor aspiring to be one, prefer to use my gray cells instead, but this elementary training we receive in the first couple of days of training. Nothing special to repeating lessons acquired and learned to improve ones' skills. The vides were also a waste of time which to me is more precious than the money wasted. Last but not least in typical american fashion his free site offers additional features for an additonal dollar there or dollar here. I am not even sure if collecting ones data and proof of purchase is done under GDPR requirements including data storage - will look into that in more detail.

Good for beginners but...
Realy good books for beginners, but prefer the same author larger book, with more illustration. You honnestly don't need both of them, and the larger one is more usefull (unless younonly got a small bookshelf).
