This little tool is a gem. It works best on blades, scissors, etc. that are in decent condition (not nicked and mechanically altered significantly out of shape) and need to be brought back to a sharp edge. Just a few well-placed strokes along any cutting edge gives substantial improvement.

I wonder who created this lift-changing sharpener. It works well on all metal blades: knives, scissors, and even fishing hooks! It is so small, easy to use, and super handy. We carry it around for fishing, gardening, woodworking, and camping. It claims to be one of the fastest and most versatile sharpeners. I was skeptical but now I am convinced. It is more powerful than it looks. Besides, it is made in the USA, which is pretty rare nowadays. I have already 4 sharpeners at home. This one is definitely the most handy one. It is so cheap as well. I got it on a good deal. I really regretted that I only got one. Should have bought one for the fishing toolbox, one for the garage, and one for the kitchen.

I lost the one I had for years and needed to find another one. This has sharpened my kitchen knives quickly and very well since I found it about 15 years ago. I liked it so much that I bought several as gifts for my family.

An excellent tool for quick sharping any not serrated item. Keep handy when working.

Saw this recommended as a tool to scrape ferro rods. Able to slowly scrape material off the rod or quickly scrape sparks off it. I’m sure it’s a good sharpener but that’s not what I bought it for.

I've had a heck of a time getting my J A Henckles knives sharp. Even using their sharpeners.. But this Speedy Sharp did the trick, granted the Henckle hard steel isn't easy. This did a excellent job, I now sharpen them after every use and it makes cutting a breeze

I use cheap knives at work, so they’re pretty much always dull.Or at least they were until I bought one of these! Once you get the hang of it you can have your knife sharp enough for most tasks in a few seconds. I would use more precise methods on expensive knives, or something that requires a more refined edge, but for a knife you use as a tool it’s the best!!
