Works perfectly!
These things are awesome! We bought one to try it out on our new Induction Range and it worked really well. We now have one for each burner. I followed all the instructions but was hesitant to try it on the highest heat setting at first. After a few weeks I boiled some water for pasta on the boost setting on our cooktop and it boiled just as fast and after it was done I picked up the mat and it was warm but not at any temperature that would melt it. As others have mentioned, I feel the people who are showing this product melted to their cooktop do not realize they don't have an induction cooktop. I would highly recommend getting this before you start scratching your new cooktop.

No problems with GE Profile
Simple clean design works great with no noticeable decrease in heat transfer. Brought 6 cups of water to a rapid boil with no melting or discoloring as some have mentioned. Also works perfectly fine with GE Profile as some said it has problems working with the range. Lastly, it keeps the glass of the cooktop cooler when finished cooking as opposed to a bare pan on the cooktop heating the glass more directly, and no scratching

Perfect. 100% better than the light-colored version.
When we got our "fancy" ceramic-top induction stove in our kitchen remodel a few years back, we were worried about the durability of the surface, which came with all kinds of warnings about using cast iron (our favorite kind of cookware) lest the surface be damaged. So I grabbed a previous version of this product, which was kind of a khaki color. I liked it because in addition to protecting from scratches, it also kept the area around the big burner mostly spatter-free. But it always looked dirty, and no amount of scrubbing or dishwashwering would get it clean. This one is the answer.LIKESThis is a durable, Kevlar-(like?) mat to put on over the burner on your flat-top induction stove. It appears to be impervious to any level of heat, and it does not interfere with the induction process. As noted, it protects from scratches, although our experience has been the ceramic material does not in fact scratch easily. More importantly for us, it also prevents a lot of cooked-on spatter, which makes cleaning the stove much easier. Best of all, this one shows no stains. I can't even tell if they're not there or the dark color is covering them, but it looks like the day we bought it.DISLIKESNone, really. The only way we've managed to damage one of these (besides the stains on the light-colored ones) was when someone accidently used it as a mat to cut something with scissors and slid the scissor underneath, snipping a little cut into it. So uh ... don't do that? It does fine in the dishwasher, and looks fine sitting on the stove.Five stars for the this BLACK COLORED ONE ONLY. There really is no reason to get the light color that will immediately absorb permanent stains.

Don’t waste your money!
Terrible product. Does not protect pans and comes close to setting itself on fire. This has happened now with two separate pads. This was supposed to be the answer to inductive cooking, but it has been more nightmare than anything else. The attached photos show the pad after one carefully watched use, and the stainless steel pan shows the result of using two different pads, both of which failed to do their job.

Works great, but just very slippery
Very nice Matt. Works great on my induction oven. My only issue is that it slides around like it's on ice lol. It doesn't stay put very well at all. I mean at all.

I would highly recommend this product!
These are fantastic! Super easy to keep clean and also protect my induction stove top! The heat distribution is fantastic.

Great mat, although quite expensive for what it is.
Nice mat, although quite expensive for what it is. Besides use on our inductive cook top, it is also nice to put on the counter to provide a "cushion" between a heavy pan and quartz counter.Just buy it.

Ignore 1-star reviews that claim fire/melting on first use
I bought four mats (one 11", two 7" and one 6"). These mats are much more rigid and substantial than our previous floppy silicone mats. I believe it is the embedded fiberglass in this mat that makes it rigid. These mats look great on our new Samsung induction range cook top. These mats are comparatively expensive, but I believe they will hold up and look great for many years. (BTW - the Lazy K logo is on one side only, if you don't want to see that.)And - If you shop like I do, then the 1-star reviews are usually the first thing we read. In this case, we cannot judge this product by many/most of these 1-star reviews. Read on if you want to know more.======I recommend you ignore any review that claims these mats caught on fire or melted to the glass cook top (especially if the complaint states it happened upon first use). These folks do not have a functional induction cook top. Not all glass top ranges are induction. Most glass top ranges are NOT induction in fact, though induction is gaining in popularity in the US.IMPORTANT: Go through this checklist:If you:1. Can set a cook top hob (burner) to the high setting *without* a pan on it, and2. The glass immediately gets hot (even a little bit) and/or glows red underneath, and3. The cook top does not give an alert/beep and shut off very quickly, then you DO NOT have an induction system. You have a conventional electric glass cook top. DO NOT buy these mats or *any other mat* for your type of cooking surface. There is only one way I can see that an induction cook top could damage these silicone mats:If you leave a *dry, empty* induction-compatible pot or skillet (especially cast iron) on this mat with the control set on high for an extended period, a mat could become discolored. (Ask me how I know) I ruined one of our previous silicone induction mats that way. That mat still works fine but it is permanently discolored. Some true induction owners did complain that the mat introduced too much distance between the cook top and the pot, so that the magnetic field was weakened. That may be so, but I think that suggests the cookware was only marginally induction-compatible to start with.So if you have the budget and also use an induction cooking surface, these are a great choice IMO.
