He's enjoying the heck out of it but I don't know if he's too rough or just kind of malicious but the circle pin broke off. it was clean break more like it popped out of the groove and I could glue it back in but it came off again.

This wrongly captioned MONTESSORI TOY is not a Montessori Toy. It does not say Montessori anywhere on the packaging, so I cannot discredit the Chinese company for using the highly reputable name. However, I knocked off a star for deceptive description which might be Amazon’s fault and not the seller’s.In any case, that said, the product is nicely crafted and not plastic but wood, which rates it 5 stars. However, no where does it state the pain used is child-safe as toddlers put toys in their mouths, which would rate it zero stars. All pieces come assembled and held together by shrink-wrap in a nicely designed box. The idea is not original and many versions exist for developing early coordination skills, along with learning primary colors, basic numbers and shapes, but this version is simply and neatly designed for little fingers to manipulate and hold a curious 2 to 3-year-old mind’s interest.
