I love the fact that this bulb is WiFi connected and ...
I bought this knowing it was an early version but based on past experience with Anker I figured it was worth the risk.1st the pros. The bulb does everything advertised via the EufyHome app. Different colors, intensities, various levels of white, on off. Pairing was a quick and simple process. I love the fact that this bulb is WiFi connected and needs no hub. The flow feature which cycles colors and the favorites with pre-programmed color cycles are so much fun. Music mode is also very fun. You need to allow mic permissions to your EufyHome app, but the Lumos pairs fairly well with the music. I noticed a slight lag, but still a whole lot of fun.The EufyHome app worked very well. I do wish that the white mode for this color model had various temperature settings. I also need to add lamp harp extensions to fit this bulb in the lamp I was using it in as it is longer than a standard bulb.Voice commands are still a work in progress. I connected the bulb via Alexa and Google Home. When they work this is awesome. You can turn the light on and off, set colors, set modes and set brightness levels. I did experience frequent disconnects. For Google Home this seemed to be more frequent via my phone, less so from my google home mini. Still frequent enough on the mini to be annoying. It does seem to occur more frequently when doing a sequence of commands. For Alexa I have an Amazon Tablet and the Android app. Alexa seemed to struggle more with voice recognition. Alexa also had a noticeable lag. Both systems occasionally translated Eufy as U.V. This was alleviated to an extent by renaming the device in the EufyHome App.The EufyHome app could use some clean up and additional functionality. For instance the Share Devices does not seem to apply to the Lumos Smart Bulb, but the bulb still shows up with no clear way of sharing. With these issues why 5 stars...With WiFi integration this bulb has a very high cool factor. Not needing a hub makes this easy to integrate into a smart home. The EufyHome app works very well to control the light even when voice controls have issues. But the biggest reason for 5 stars is that the EufyHome fills my current needs and I'd definitely purchase this again. The range of colors and the flow mode work exactly as I hoped they would and white mode covers all use cases for a standard lamp light and gives me variable brightness intensities in a light that was previously only off and on. All in all the Eufy Lumos has been a big winner.

Good bulbs, work as advertised, but they run hot
I purchased 2 of these and 2 of the tunable white bulbs for my dad for fathers day. Functionally, they do everything advertised and so far I am loving these bulbs, however I have two concerns.I was able to hook these up to the alexa app and I have been able to enable alexa voice controls despite not having an echo or any other similar device. I just use alexa through my tablet as you would to voice search anything else or play music, etc. But when I try to pair with the google home app, it is not allowing me to pair and I believe it is because i do not have a google home device, but i am not sure as the instructions are not clear and googling it doesn't bring back relevant results. I was hoping to be able to enable google assistant voice controls without the need for a google home device, as google assistant works natively on the phone, again for internet searches, playing music, sending messages, etc.My second concern was that after a few hours of the bulb being lit, primarily in a soft white setting, the bulb itself remains relatively cool to the touch. However the base of the bulb, where it is white plastic and has the Eufy logo, is so hot I can barely touch it for more than a few seconds, much like an old incandescent bulb. I was curious if this heat was normal, and if so, why it is occurring? These are meant to be efficient LED bulbs, and even if the bulb itself remains cool, the base getting as hot as it did indicates that energy is being wasted. I see nothing about this in the reviews and am surprised it is not a more worrisome problem to other customers, or if I may have just received a faulty model. If eufy can reply to me via this review and explain to me how to fix these issues, then I will gladly change this to a 5 star review, as I love these bulbs so far and they do work as advertised. These issues just concern me for the time being without being able to find anything on google about it.In all, these are a good, cheap way to begin converting your home to a smart home, without the need for a hub.Edit: company saw my review and offered me another product to make up for it. Overall good customer service.

Works great with Google Home/Assistant, and the Eufy app isn't bad either.
This review is going to sound like I've been bribed by Eufy with free products or something, but I haven't been! I'm just really impressed with these things! I now have 4 of them in my apartment. I started with just one, but once I saw how easily it worked w/Google home I ended up getting 3 more over the next month or so. Each time it was really easy to add the new device to my home set up (note: set the new device up through the Eufy Home app, then unlink/re-link your Eufy account to Google Home, presto). The Eufy Home app offers more precise control over light colors, but commands like "turn my lights red/blue/cyan/magenta/white" all work great. I imagine it works great with Alexa too, because it seems like they were originally designed with Alexa in mind. I have absolutely no complaints... but if these things burn out before I expect them too I will update the heck out of this review, I promise you that.

Easy Installation
So i've been having a problem with the cheaper smart bulbs lately, in that they completely disconnected from the wifi and would refuse to reconnect. Then I saw a review on a brand called EUFY and saw they were owned by Anker. That kind of raised my trust level a bit. I just got it and installed it last night and everything was instantly found. The way you can adjust the white light is also a pro, in that it has a great range of whites ranging from something like a halogen to an incandescent (I like the latter). The ONLY thing that really bothers me (and it's not even that big of a deal) is that if I tell me Google Home to make the color white, it goes to the whitest setting instead of the predetermined white I picked earlier. Other than that, great product.
