Awesome!
It has been a great and sturdy kit. Very intricate and had a great time building it. There’s a lot of stickers so that is a bit overwhelming but worth it. Huge shelf presence too!

Challenging and Fun
Except for the posable hands, an excellent, well engineered kit.Yeah, the hands are cool: But my shed a finger shortly after the hand was attached. Not sure if this need to be posed, then seal coated? Anyway, I am gentle and careful and still had to get a replacement kit. (See second photo.)Please be aware: Don't trim off the sprue until you are certain you don't need them. Some are used as mounting posts for fine details. (See first photo.)

A worthy addition to the Katoki family
You're mistaken if you think this is just a shorter and fatter version of the Nu Gundam.First off, from beginning to finish I had blast at building this bad boy. Since he has a different size than the Nu so his entire innerframe is unique of its own. Coming from Katoki, I had a lot of expectation of this kit and it certainly lives up the hype!Pro:-looks amazing at every angle-good color separation-fairly articulated despite being fat (lol)-fairly good build design: there're hidden gimmicks but they're nowhere near as the Sazabi's or the Nu's caliber-comes with a stand-water decals which make the fin funnels to look amazing but they're quite tricky to put on-LED optional-DAT SCORPION TAIL!cons:-when fully geared up, it can't stand on its own without the back cane-some parts could have more deails (there are thruster at the back of the legs that are a part of the innerframe and they look quite dull)-not beginner friendly-it's a personal preference but I wish that he could have been a little bit tallerIf you're a Gundam fan and have the $$$, get it. Yeah I know that you'd promised your gf that the last one would be your last but seriously, GET IT!

Awesome kit with a couple quirks
The media could not be loaded. This kit was very fun to build. Only thing to be aware of is if you dont have the right tools to set the decals securely they are a nightmare. So many small slides that will not hold well with just water and will definitely need something to hold them down. As you can see i dont have the setter (which i just ordered) and a few of the small decals just get lost after handling the model for posing. And on that note posing can be finicky as well due to its very large backpack and chunky frame. But this guy is primarily just a standing pose gundam IMO.TLDR, this is kit shines the most when you have the right equipment and action posing isnt the easiestUpdate, finally added setter to every decal and applied a flat top coat. Its great i dont feel like i have to be as mindful about any decal just to move the thing.

Most beautiful Gundam kit, but also has the most annoying decals to apply on the fin funnels!
Very great Ver.Ka kit if you like the original design of the Hi-Nu gundam. This is the most beautiful gundam I have ever built to this day and I loved it so much! Sadly, the only part that kind of sucks is the Fin Funnels - they are quite floppy in construction, and are not very secure in the Funnel rack binder connections. They also need extremely large decals that require lots of time to apply for each of the six Funnels! The rest of the kit is great though, but the body can get loose over time due to being made with poly caps for joints. If you are patient and experienced enough with water slide decals, then this kit is definitely worth a try!

TLDR: 7 out of 10. Great aesthetic, great size, couple loose joints and rough decals.
I love the look of this guy, even the giant bird beak backpack. Posability is top tier, color separation is good, the purple is freaking amazing in person. This guy certainly takes up space and looks amazing on your shelf. The downside is, it is a Ver Ka so the typical problems are here. The wrists are a little weak for the gun and bazooka, the wing funnel connection is weak and they tend to sag, the head/backpack slot on mine is loose so sometimes he just falls off, and that problem WILL break the stand arm. I used Tamiya cement to fix the stand, but he's just too heavy for it. Also, only waterslides! No normal or rub ons. The decals for the funnels are God awful to put on and I ruined one of them so none of them got out on. My suggestion is to cut the corners towards to tips of the funnels before applying them, as they're one piece you have to "wrap" down and around. Other than the decal situation, the other problems can be fixed with some glue or clear coat to tighten the joints in the problem areas. 7 out of 10. Great aesthetic, great size, couple loose joints and rough decals.

Very please with this model
Our 13 yr old grandson built it in about 6 to 7 hrs. It is very intricate and a good size. He did one before this. He is a LEGO DEVOTEE That said this is better price wise and requires more injunction. The 12.00 tool kit was very helpful as there is a lot to cut out. The only problem was the decals. Those directions were only in Japanese. Could not remove from sheet they came on.

Great Kit, Patience = Victory
Another great Master Grade from the Hajime Katoki Ver KA line. This kit may be a few years old at this point but it definitely holds up with any other modern master grade. The key thing to truly enjoy this kit is patience. There are a lot of water slides and it is a big bulky kit so posing it will give you a little bit of a headache working around its weight and proportions however like I said patience will get you the most out of this thing and it'll be an awesome display piece.
