I’ve been using the Arlo Essential 2K camera for a few weeks now, and it’s been fantastic for keeping an eye on my babies. The video quality is crystal clear, and the night vision is surprisingly sharp, so I can check in anytime, even in low light. The automated privacy shield is a great feature. The two-way audio works amazing, letting me talk or listen easily, and the motion alerts notify me instantly if anything’s happening. Setup was really easy, and the app is user-friendly.

The camera is good use of indoor and the privacy feature is awesome, which is always a concern for indoor cameras. The documentation could be much clear on how to use the privacy feature, but figured out after a bit. The privacy door opens when armed and remains closed when not armed. This is really good. As other arlo cameras it requires cloud subscription to store/view videos, storing using local hub is very slow and often results in not a quality video. You will require VMB45xxx or VMB5xxx base stations to store locally and view.
