I cook and bake extensively, and am an avid sourdough baker. I use unbleached bread flour extensively in my sourdough baking: in my starter, bread, and roll dough. Decided to try the Amazon Grocery Unbleached Bread Flour. It did not disappoint, everything about it exceeded my expectations.- A fine sift.- Great for sourdough and active/dried yeast based dough-based recipes, including sourdough starter.- A bit finer sift than the Gold Medal Unbleached Bread Flour I have been using. I've found that this bread flour absorbs a bit more moisture in my dough compared to Gold Medal flour.- Great results in my baking and sourdough starter.- Results: Picture of sourdough sandwich loaf bread has unbleached bread flour and a small amount of Semolina flour in the recipe I made up.This flour is a terrific value, too. I highly recommend this product.

I bake a lot, and honestly this bread flour is just as good as the pricey “designer” brands. I can’t tell the difference in texture, rise, or flavor—it bakes up beautifully every time. The price is right too, which makes it an easy choice to keep stocked in the pantry. Quality flour without the fancy label markup.

It's bread flour. Half the price of king Arthur and works the same. Anyone on here saying there is an issue with the flour is wrong. The artist doesn't know how to use their tools so they're blaming their tools for their faults.

As an amateur bread baker, I'm extremely impressed with the quality of this value priced flour. My no-knead loaf came out with an impressive rise, crust and crumb. I highly recommend this exceptional product, which in this economy of hyper-inflation is priced far below the name brand standards.

I wish someone could figure out how to make a resealable flour bag. Even when being careful the paper bag that is glued on top gets damaged when opening (like most flour bags) but the taste and consistency is superb for my sourdough bread.

I was wondering how this would perform against my standby bread flours and it was quite nice. I agree with others that the bag is a bit flimsy though mine did arrive with no tears or spillage. Good price.

I decided one day to start learning how to make bread! I went with the cheapest bread flour option i could find. The first bag came in broken and they sent me a replacement for free. I was so happy with the way my bread came out. I tried other brands and actually think this brand is pretty top notch. I did find a larger bag of bread flour at Sam’s club, so I haven’t gotten more of this in a while. But as far as bread flour, yes on this one.It is very smooth, no smells, not gluten free! But I also found making my own bread made me not itch as much as store bought. So if you are thinking about starting to make bread, hands down use this flour!!! It is a GREAT value, and you will see that when you go to the super market. It tastes great!! Worth every penny!!
