Marathon(s) Tested, amazing sock!
So far 2 marathon's in these socks! Balega's are a game-changer! From the moment I slipped them on, I could feel the difference in comfort and support. They provide just the right amount of cushioning without being too bulky, and the moisture-wicking fabric keeps my feet dry throughout long runs. Plus, the snug fit prevents any annoying slipping or bunching. Highly recommend for anyone serious about their running game! They still look great, and are holding up after 2 marathons! Some reasons why I have been recommending them to other runners are:* Superior comfort: These socks offer exceptional comfort from the moment you put them on.* Optimal support: They provide the perfect balance of cushioning and support for long-distance running.* Moisture-wicking: The moisture-wicking fabric keeps your feet dry and comfortable, even during intense workouts.* Snug fit: Enjoy a secure fit that prevents slipping and bunching, ensuring a distraction-free run.* Durable construction: These socks are built to last, making them a reliable choice for marathon runners.* Overall recommendation: Highly recommended for serious runners seeking quality performance and comfort.

The best athletic socks I've ever worn.
Every time I have to plunk down $20 for these socks, I get sticker shock. But I have to say these socks are well worth it. They are so comfortable -- I don't even know I'm wearing them. They've got the right amount of cushioning and stretch, all in the right places. They fit my feet (size 7 women) perfectly. I never get sweaty feet (just the rest of me). I can play or run in these in all conditions. I have no idea how much science goes into these socks, but it must be significant, because they are perfect (at least for me). They look nice too, although I wish they had more colors...

good supportive endurance sock
Supportive. Warm. Thick. Worked well after walking through ankle deep water, quick dried during a 5 mile walk in wet shoes/socks. I was wanting a thinner supportive sock so I will keep these but keep looking.

Worth the money! Best exercise socks
I buy 1-2 pairs every year to replace worn out pairs. They last me 4-5 years and I wear each pair 2 times per week. Yes they’re a bit pricey but you absolutely get what you pay for! They don’t stretch out over time, I’ve never had one get a hole and when I replace it’s because the fabric has work thin.

Comfortable so far, but questionable long term durability.
I bought three pair for backpacking in trail runners, have yet to backpack in them but recently summited Mnt. St. Helens in a pair. They were very comfortable and seem to allow my feet to breath in my breathable trail runners. The material is a bit smooth/soft so my feet seemed to slide around in my shoes but I was able to tie my shoes down tighter than I thought I should without impact to circulation and that helped keep my feet from sliding around. My feet do not typically blister, so I guess I can't say if these socks help prevent blistering, but I did not get blisters and my feet were never uncomfortable. After returning from the trip I washed the socks one time in tap cold (summer here), and tumble dried with no heat. When I pulled the socks out of the drier they seemed to be linting a lot, in a way I don't typically see with other clothes. Looked up reviews and this is a common experience with these socks and some say that their socks are "disintegrating" in the heals and toes.My socks are still intact but I will certainly report back if they begin to disintegrate. These are expensive socks so if they fall apart I'd rather just blister until I callus than buy another pair.4 stars because they're very comfortable, they breath well, and they seem high quality. -1 star because after one day hike and one wash they are beginning to show a bit of wear. This may be normal so I'll update my review if they turn out to last as well.

For dynamic wear: best support; low friction; dries fast
I have tried Darn Tough, SmartWool and REI varieties for hiking; and Balega Blister Resist with 30% Mohair have been the best performers (not the Enduro). Months on trails through Wyoming, Montana and the Dakotas including up to 14 hour days in cold rain, plains heat and sub alpine terrains with backpack.Support: There are center support bands on the arch that for me feels great on my arch and seems to keep the sock from moving around compared to other socks. Even my a beaten compressed 3 year old pair still shows the center support holding. Additionally, a thinner, stretchy nylon is used on the top of the foot which may help with venting. A firmer nylon is used at the top of the ankle which has held up even on an older pair; with ankle issues, this feature is essential to me for the support.Moisture: I don't know if it's the mohair but my feet don't heat up as much and even in the hottest conditions (Badlands mid summer), the moisture is off my feet.Fit: The firm fit prevents any bunching or movement on my feet, which for other brands, would lead to blisters or irritated spots on my feet or toes. I would consider it a light to mid weight sock for cushioning. I prefer a firm sock with a generous fit in the toe box of my trail runners (full size up). The only time I had a blister was likely from lack of washing where the build-up of dust and grit decreased the functionality of the sock...fresh pair and Leukotape solved it.Wear: The Drynamix/Mohair part of the socks pill pretty quickly but hung in there and they functioned fine. Also there are two strips of nonfunctional stitching that comes apart quickly as well but still did not affect performance in my opinion. The only pairs that have holes are the retired ones I wear as slippers (for the comfort of the support) that got caught on nails popping from my hardwood floor--not a Balega issue.Maintenance: For on-trail use, they wash well and dry out overnight in the right conditions (lower humidity areas).Because everyone loves the Darn Tough lifetime warranty, I even tried them again. Great sock for short hikes in temperate conditions but I swear by Balega Blister Resists and stocked up. I rotate 3 or 4 at a time to give the fibers a break. I haven't thrown any away yet..even the ones I ripped in non-essential location!
