Its really cute, and the instructions are pretty straight forward im greatly enjoying this kit.

Got it for my 32 year old girlfriend, and she loved it. Unfortunately, our dogs ate it, and there is nothing left. Literally. Super cute though. 🔥

For the price the axolotl kit is awesome. Some of the components aren't the highest quality, but the end product is adorable. It's a little challenging for a true beginner, but if it's not your first kit it's totally doable. I did a couple of kits by the brand Woobles before I did this one, so I kind of knew what I was doing, and it was a cinch. The woobles kits come with a pre-started piece to help you, and the woobles videos are a tiny bit more thorough than the videos with this kit. With this kit you have to start your own piece and the videos move pretty fast. But Woobles kits are $30 for one finished piece, and with this you get two finished pieces for like half the price. I will be looking into more kits by this brand. The axolotls are precious, my kids love them. Update: Ordered the balloon dog and started on it. The yarn that came with it isn't the best, and is absolutely tiny. It comes with a 4.5 mm hook, which is smaller than I have worked with so far. I've done about 7 projects so far, so I've got a little practice, and this project is definitely a challenge. Mostly of my patience, as the stitches themselves aren't difficult at all, but the yarn being so tiny makes it more difficult. I will update when I finish.

This is super cute but the directions were confusing.

As someone who had not done this for like 32 years, it was the perfect back to crochet kit. The material is good and comes with everything you need, lots of yarn, really good one for beginners. The videos are super good for beginners, they explain every stitch/crochet in details and in slow motion, something I love. My only feedback/ complaint was the narrator speaks with a Chinese accent and -sometimes is very hard to understand certain words she says (not all). My first try I had to start the head like 10 times because I didn’t understand when she said “SC” or single crochet, double crochet, etc. other than that, I appreciate how well the videos are done and they break each part into a new video. My final oxalate was adorable!

I wanted to try out crocheting and decided on this kit since it not only looks cute but is advertised for beginners. While it does provide video instructions, I find that they're pretty difficult to follow and definitely require some kind of pre-exposure to crochet to follow along smoothly. It took me a few days to figure it out, so this kit is definitely not for those who are impatient like me lol. The quality of the yarn isn't the highest, and the hooks it comes with is mostly for the kit's yarn size, so make sure to buy a variety of hooks and try out other yarns if you're looking to move beyond this kit. However, if you are willing to put in some time and effort this could be a great way to learn how to crochet and get your money's worth.
