can charge the original and aftermarket batteries. It actually brought an OEM battery back to life. The dead OEM battery would no longer charge from the original Sony charger or while inside the camera. but this aftermarket charger brought it to life and that "dead" oem battery now works. and its not an issue with the original charger or camera as i have 2 original OEM batteries and only 1 was able to charge with the original charger or camera until i bought this. they last equally as long as original.

Charger gets a 5, batteries get a 1. As with most (probably all) of these no-name Chinese batteries, these test on my lab quality battery tester at 750-800mAH. Not the 1240mAH they’re rated but 800. If you think buying one of the other no name BX1’s rated at up to 1600mAH will be any better I can tell you that it won’t be. I tested those too and they also test around 800 MAH. In fact there is so much consistency between BX1 batteries of different no name brands that I suspect they are all made on the same production line. 800mAH means the mfg was able to put in less “battery stuff” when they made the battery. That means it cost them way less to make. The fact that they are outright lying to you did not enter into that calculation, pand I guess there are no laws about false specifications for Chinese exports. This also means you have to carry almost two of these for every Sony battery on your vacation or whatever. If that doesn’t bother you go ahead and buy them. If it does, buy the Sony. There used to be other no-name batteries that were of good quality but in 2017 they all raced to the bottom. This is the source of those review headlines that say ‘I’ve been using these for years and they’re great.’ They were great, until about a year ago. Now they’re all junk.
