A reliable pen, my personal favourite
The Asvine V126 fountain pen is a pen that I bought for sketching. It has a frosted transparent body that shows the ink level and the mechanism inside. It has a vacuum filling system that draws ink from the bottle and holds a lot of ink. It has an extra fine nib that is smooth and good for sketching, but it has no line variation. It writes well on different papers, but it may leak or burp sometimes. It has a screw-on cap and a clip that are secure and functional. It has a comfortable weight and balance that feels good in the hand. It writes first time every time without any hard start or skipping. I give this pen five out of five stars and I would recommend it to anyone who likes transparent and reliable pens.

Blown away!
This is a lovely pen, I filled it with ink this morning, no mess and it writes beautifully, I'm using Diamine ink and it flows of the nib really smoothly. It has lots of options for filling, vacume, piston, converter, cartridge and eye dropper. It has the EF nib and it's perfect.Worth adding to your collection.I write like a chimp with broken fingers but a good fountain pen makes my hand writing look quite neat.Worth the money.

Nice writer but build quality not the greatest
This pen has a lovely nib and wrote well out of the box, but the thread for the cap is not great, I find it misses connecting and sticks quite often, I think the machining of the threads eas off.Not bad enough to reject the pen but a lot little disappointing.

An excellent pen by any standard
I saw a Youtube video of the Asvine V 126 and was intrigued. After buying one (frosted black with a medium steel nib), I was very impressed- in fact, so impressed I bought a second (frosted blue with a fine steel nib). Both are simply excellent writers: the nibs write beautifully, the balance of the pens in the hand is superb (I have quite large hands and like to post my pens) and the piston filling mechanism provides a huge reservoir of ink.At a price of c. £30 including packing and postage, these pens must be some of the greatest bargains on the market. TWSBIs now have a serious competitor!Highly recommended!

A vacuum filler thats cheap with great performance.
A quality product, a clone done to a high standard. If you cannot afford to pay for a high quality Japanese pen with a gold nib, then this pen with a steel medium nib is a surprisingly good little pen. So far it has written smoothly out of the box, hasn't required any minor tuning, and with what I consider is just the right amount of feedback from the nib on paper. Buy and enjoy..December update.. having written quite a bit now,and only having to floss the nib, the factory nib is well tuned, juicy wet and smooth. Feedback can be on the toothy side, but that is mainly down to the paper not the nib. And in comparison to my 2 gold nib pens. A pilot custom 92 medium, and an platinum 3776 broad, this asvine is really worth buying. I also have an asvine P20 also in medium which gives an identical writing experience.. just proves that a well setup and tuned steel nib, can give the user a pleasant experience without breaking the bank..

Poor ink flow & faulty filling mechanism.
The ink flow and nib are terrible. Extremely dry with constant skipping. The filling mechanism then broke the second time I tried to fill the pen. The rubber seal that creates the vacuum came away from the plunger rod.I would stay away from this pen. I have one of their piston fillers and it's much better.

Love the transparent blue EF
I managed to grab one of the last couple of transparent blues (they seem sold out in most places). it’s gorgeous and definitely feels more expensive than it is. Ironically I was first looking at a similar colour by Platinum but couldn’t justify the price so very happy I got this. I totally agree with other reviewers about the piston being stiff and as there doesn’t seem to be a way of getting it out easily to lube it up, I’ve opted to use mine in a more eyedropper style, simply unscrewing the nib unit and using a pipette to put ink in it. Nib wise, I got an EF. The nib is smooth but think the flow can change which I think is common with pens that you have to open the valve/piston with by releasing the cap a little for longer writes. These can be a bit fiddly to find the sweet spot. I might also try a few different inks too (currently inked with J Herbin’s Lie De The) and consider whether I might need to adjust the tines just a tad, but all things considered, I love this pen and I’m happy. I’m used to a bit of trial and error to get things right.
