patience is key
This is the perfect fake tan, if you know what you’re doing. You should always exfoliate 24 hours before use, make sure your skin is completely clean and dry.It does look patchy when you put it on, but you need to trust the process and let it soak in. It leaves a natural tan look, not dark orange. It’s best to get a small brush as well to buff it in. Have been using this for a year and have never had a problem.

This tan is very sticky and the guide colour is nearly black
The guide colour for this tan is nearly black. I scrubbed and prepped the day before the tan and scrubbed the day of the tan but it went on very sticky on the skin I found using a tanning brush was better at blending than using the mit. I’m hoping it doesn’t turn out too patchy . I usually leave my tans on over night but I’ll probably wash this off after 4 hrs as I’m not too sure about it will update with the results

Definitely not “ultra dark”, but nice colour for people that turn orange using other self tanners.
In the picture I uploaded, I applied 1 layer on the bottom arm. This is definitely not ultra dark by any means, so if this is what you are looking for, you will need to apply a lot of layers.I purchased this because I was looking for a self tanner that would not turn me orange or green, which so many have. This is the first self tanner I have purchased that has actually left a really nice and natural colour for someone with a fair olive undertone.If you are someone that has had trouble with looking very orange after using fake tan in the past, I would definitely try this. Just beware it will take a few layers for a nice dark tan.

I have dark hair and eyes with fair cool toned skin. Usually I use bondi sands as all other ultra dark tans always make me look orange. This one is amazing! It goes on super dark and rinses off to a beautiful dark bronze tan. It’s not orange at all, not patchy and fades evenly. Definitely my new favourite tan.

Better fake fan options
I am a long-time user of Bondi Sands Liquid gold fake tan, but decided to give this product a try after seeing lots of videos of “violet” based fake tans and this was on sale. I don’t think I will purchase again for several reasons:1) Initially when putting on the tan I noticed the consistency was much less foamy and more difficult to buff in than other fake tans I’ve used (not first-time user friendly). Perhaps mine was faulty as I noticed a lot of “liquid/pigment” would come out when the dispenser was barely pressed.2) When washing off the guide color after development, you’ll notice the hue of the guide color shows much deeper than the actual tan, so if you want a dark tan I’d recommend other products (bondi sands ultra dark). Although I did like the undertone of the tan, I wish it was a deeper tan without having to apply several layers, probably because it was difficult to evenly apply in the first place let alone do layers.3) I found this product transfers more in its developing time than other tans, and you have to wash it off which can be inconvenient (something you don’t have to do with the bondi sands liquid gold).4) I found a single layer (sometimes two layers on my arms and torso) would not last as long as other tans and found myself wanting to tan again within the same week rather than other tans where I can make it reasonably last for 10 days with proper care.Overall, I would not pay full price for this tan or recommend it for beginners. Again, perhaps my bottle was faulty which made the application more of a nuisance, however I don’t think I will buy another bottle as it is more expensive and more of a hassle to apply than other tans which are cheaper, and in my opinion have a better quality. I will look for other violet based tan options to experiment with different undertones, but unfortunately this did not hit the mark for me.

Suggested Use: 1. Prep: Exfoliate and moisturise dry areas, e.g. hands, feet, ankles. 2. Apply: Apply mousse to body with Applicator Mitt. 3. Glow: 8 hours for a deep, olive tan. For on-the-go, 30 minutes for Supreme Tan. Alternatively, 1 hour for a natural-looking tan.
