Each brand feels very different
I bought the red 20lb one and compared to other brands I could barely bend or twist it. So to be fair, I’m not sure what it’s supposed to feel like. I ended up with a 25lb one from a different company and it bends with resistance, so I kept that. Honestly, you have try a few different brands at different weights because they will not be remotely alike.

Well Made and Perfect for Home or Travel Use
I am really happy with these Flex and Twist Bars. I currently use them for tennis elbow and use the twist type exercises. The four bar kit is going to serve me well as I become accustomed to the lighter weight and need a heavier weight to continue improving my condition. These bars do a great job of conditioning for exercises like the Tyler Twist for tennis elbow. After only a few days at the lightest weight, I can already feel improvement in my flexibility and less pain in the elbow. The surface texture of the bars is great at providing a non-slip surface. It is important to maintain a solid grip when twisting the bar, and the ridged surface with grippy texture is perfect for this. The bars are solid, and have varying amounts of flexibility depending on which you use:Yellow: 5 lbs; Green: 10 lbs; Blue: 15 lbs; Red: 20 lbs. The higher the number, the stiffer the bar and harder to twist or bend. The bars are compact and easy to store either in the box they came in, or in a gym bag or anywhere you keep your exercise equipment.I recommend these bars if you are looking for a physical therapy solution for home/travel use.

Great for building (or rebuilding) shoulder, arm, elbow & wrist strength
Fun to use, and awesome for rehabbing a shoulder after rotator-cuff repair, or after arm, elbow, wrist, or hand surgery, these ProsourceFit Flex and Twist Bars come in 4 different strengths that enable you to increase the exercise difficulty level as you get stronger. But these are also great for ordinary upper body strength & endurance building. They work muscles in a very effective but (for weightlifting) a rather unconventional way.If you're rehabbing you'll probably start with yellow (5 lb), then progress to green (10 lb), and possibly up to blue (15 lb). The red 20 pounder is stiff enough to make some pretty stout fellows break a serious sweat, so it's unlikely it will be usable by most rehabbers. If you're not rehabbing but you want to seriously improve your hand, wrist, elbow, upper arm and/or shoulder strength, these may be just the thing for you. These flex & twist bars are actually pretty fun to use. Something about bending them in half makes you feel awesome - psychologically it's a great feeling. Very highly recommended. 5 stars

i returned it
way stiffer than the one at the physical therapist's office; perhaps the colors weren't matching up on the resistance weight or something, I couldn't not even twist it at all.

Solid and Effective Twist Bar for Rehabilitation and Strengthening
I opted for the 20lb twist bar, anticipating a robust tool to aid in my rehabilitation and strength training routines. Upon using it, the twist bar indeed proved to be very solid and rigid, more so than I initially expected. This high level of rigidity, while making the bar less forgiving and slightly harder to use at the start, clearly indicates its durability and the serious workout potential it offers. The twist bar itself is well-constructed and feels sturdy in hand. Despite its rigidity, I can see how this feature is beneficial, particularly for those looking to seriously engage and strengthen their wrist, forearm, and hand muscles. It certainly demands more effort and control, which can effectively enhance muscle conditioning over time. However, the firmness of the 20lb resistance may not be ideal for everyone, especially those new to this type of equipment or recovering from severe injuries. It requires a good amount of strength to bend, which might be a bit much for beginners or those in the early stages of rehabilitation. In the long term, I believe this twist bar will prove to be a valuable tool for improving muscle strength and joint stability. It’s clear that its design is meant to offer substantial resistance to achieve these goals effectively. While it may not have the more forgiving texture I anticipated, its effectiveness in providing a rigorous workout is undeniable. Four stars for its solid construction and potential benefits, with a slight deduction for its initial usability challenge.
