BDCMTS Matrix Sander Attachment (BDCMTS Matrix Sander Attachment & (10) Sheets of Assorted Sandpaper Kit)

I'll tell you why I bought this. My wife has been watching every DIY show on the planet so she's been itching to do her first project. We just bought some new furniture for our front room, so I thought we'd take our old extra long horizontal dresser and convert it to a stand for our television. My wife was very adamant that sanding such a large piece wouldn't be too big a deal, but since I already own a Black & Decker Matrix drill I went ahead and one-clicked the sander attachment, and this has made life incredibly easy. My only critique would be that since this is a battery powered sander, you have a finite amount of time before you begin to notice a slow down. Obviously this isn't the type of sander you'd want to use for a large job like sanding hardwood floors, but even for a small-medium project like our dresser we did have to plan for working around the battery life. But for a casual DIY handyman, it was a very convenient & low-cost attachment.

Just as you think it works.... good. BD used to be the cheap throw away brand but top of the heap in my opinion. Nice innovation with the matrix system allows you to likely have the fix in your bag of BD matrix tools. I have most attachments. This bag goes with me every time. BD makes a circular saw too but not as attachment. Wish I had that but have robi circular & miter that I have to take with me also. I would dump the robi but BD doesn't make a miter.... at least not yet.

I love this little thing. I've used it a lot already but the Velcro does wear and the point did come off on mine. I'm no professional but I imagine it's normal and I would think the Velcro part should be able to be replaced without buying a whole new one. I need to search for that actually... I use this when making my skateboards and put a lot of use on it so far. It does get pretty hot but there's different ways to hold it to get the job done.

Sander part works great, but have had to glue velcro down every so often.I am very happy with the rest of the set (and the sander) except for the glue it down every so often.Works like a charm, love the matrix set.The set is so easy to use, takes a few seconds to change from a saw to a drill or a sander or an impact driver.This is an inexpensive starter or casual tool set for a great price, I have replaced our entire floor and upgraded of our house with these and I have not had any problems with any of the attachments or the matrix itself.

I purchased the B&D Matrix Drill because at the time it was the best deal in the store, for some forgotten reason I am a little prejudice against B&D products. Besides being the best price/power option at the store that day I was curious about the attachment functions.I ordered the Sander attachment through Amazon. I have used it for several projects from sanding smaller pieces of wood to smoothing out the end of PVC pipes that were cut a little rough. This sander works fine, I have had no issues with it. It has not been fragile, this was an issue I had first feared.I like that it is easy to replace the sanding pads, and that it is an exchangeable attachment for a single drill. It is not to difficult to exchange the parts when you get the hang of it, it maybe a little difficult to some until they get the hang of it.The only draw back for me is that the sanding pads can only be obtained online in my area, but that is not an issue with the product itself.

I purchased a black & decker matrix drill from walmart and had a hard time finding the attachments in store. I had an upcoming project were I needed to repaint a deck. I used this sander with included sand paper to get the job done. If you have small to medium sized projects this is the attachment you will eventually need.

Of all the "Matrix" attachments I think this gets about the second most use after the drill/driver . Its a convenient thing to have for small sanding jobs, specifically if you own the matrix base and don't own (and/or don't want to own) a separate sander. My only complaint is that it seems to run through the battery charge rather quickly so you won't be doing anything too big at one time. If you're going to be doing a lot of sanding you're probably better off buying a separate sander.

Probably one of my favorite matrix attachment. I use this one and the circular saw all the time. This is nice to get a quick smooth finish on wood surfaces. I do wish the sand paper was cheaper, but I live with it since this does such a good job. I highly reccomend having a vice to hold the wood down so you dont have to worry about the wood slipping and you can have a good 2 hands on the drill for complete control
