Not leather
The description says leather and that's why I bought it. Instead, it's costume quality plastic simulated leather (pleather). It does not look sturdy enough to hold a real sword.

quality sheath: the leather is very delicate, one of the straps popped upon first use, however a new string or leather peace can easily be reassembled!
