FIRE/SAFETY HAZARD!
Would do 0 Stars. Bought this last summer and didn't have a chance to use it. Recently assembled it and it does not work. Clogs up and stops, even on small sticks. OR it starts the wood on FIRE IN THE MACHINE! This thing is NOT SAFE. JUNK. Glad it was far enough away from the edge of my house so the fire couldn't spread. DO NOT BUY!

Good for residential use!
Received the chipper today and chipped a large pile of branches ranging from 2” and under. It ate through all of them leaves as well. Had some dug up juniper bushes that it ate up as well. I am happy with this purchase great value for the money. It was easy to assemble and easy to transport. If you are expecting the performance of a large commercial chipper this is not for you. But for yard use it’s been great.

Pride in home ownership.
I KNOW I BOUGHT IT "USED" ,IT WAS A RETURN ! What happened was , the axle is missing and the axle holes in the legs are " wallered " out I can repair these . which is NO problem , I have several used axles , I am a lawn mower and small engine repairman . I am not asking for a replacement . Tested the chipper and it works fine .

Helpful for modest branches, produces nice mulch
We have a lot of trees, and therefore a lot of debris from small branches every year. I hate wasting them! So, it's nice to chip them up and use them for mulch. This LawnMaster FD1501 Electric Wood Chipper Shredder makes reasonably quick work of branches up to about 1.5 inches in diameter. Anything bigger goes into a pile to be cut up for firewood for my larger Solo Stoves. The mulch shown above is from Magnolia branches. The mulch the FD1501 produces would probably also be nice as an alternative to wood pellets for smaller Solo Stoves like the Mesa (BUT I have not tried it for that, this is just a guess).

Broken housing
Looks like it will get the job done. Will find out soon and ammend this review.Sadly it has a huge break right at the top near where you put brush in at. I don't think it will impact the performance (I hope) but it sure is a nasty break. I hope the manufacturers see this comment and contact me about getting it repaired or replaced.

Love it and hate it
It’s loud and gets stuck easily. If I had to buy it again, I probably wouldn’t.But for now, I tend to put sticks in about half way and then pull it back out. That way I can create a lot of small pieces that I want. Otherwise it will get stuck if I try to shove the entire stick through, and then I have to turn it off, unplug it, unscrew the top and figure out what’s wrong.

Great value!
If you can put in 2 screws and 2 cotter clips, you can assemble this! just used it for the 1st time today, reduced 6 bush piles into 8 baskets of chips in less than 2 hrs. Jamed twice, once from a knotted limb and once when i shut it off while it was still cutting ( my fault). easily unjammed by unscrewing the large knob, removing the front hopper cover, back to work in 3min. easily handled everything i put in to it. Highly recommended!
